I usually don't write a comment, but just watch your videos. But I have to say this was a very important educational video that we all need to watch and think about. Thanks Cern and Herbert for the great work you do for the Tesla community.
I already own shares of TSLA, NVDA and APPL as well. Sure, I don't mind having these equities sit around for a while, but I'd also like to appreciate short-term opportunities that could fetch $200,000 or less..
‘A good number of people discredit the effectiveness of financial advisors in exploring new markets, but over the past 10years I’ve had a financial advisor consistently restructure and diversify my portfolio/expenses and I’ve made over $3million in gains… might not be a lot but i'm financially secure.
I know it's not much, but I took my first step into investing! Any tips? I'm not trying to put too much in until I become more educated. I do have a HYSA, 401k and ESPP with my company so this is more fun right now until I can get more serious with it. My problem is that I want to buy few quality stocks (NVDA, TSLA, GOOGL, AMZN,etc) but don't know what is the best entry point.
Congratulations on taking your first step into investing! I think even if you're focusing on a few quality stocks, consider spreading your investments across different sectors to reduce risk and ensure a balanced portfolio. Identifying the best entry points can be challenging. It might be worth discussing with a CFA, to help keep an eye on market trends. This is basically how I started too and I've learned to 'buy and hold' quality individual bluechip company stocks and ETFs. Got into the markets with ~$80k and I've had a huge run from 2022 with appreciation and dividends- more than triple.
I'm trying to get an advisor for guidance but it's harder than you think. Anyone who is fee-based is hard to find and usually overloaded with work. Would you be comfortable sharing a recommendation if it's not too much trouble
Oh very well then, conducting due diligence on *Lina Dineikiene* should suffice. She has established a notable reputation over time, and her system is acclaimed for its outstanding quality.
Ah Gotcha. I looked up her name on Google. Found her website. I must say her credentials are truly impressive! Good enough to lay any doubts to rest :D
Wow Herbert & Cern that was fantastic. Very educational and eye opening. Thank you for broaching this topic, and I look forward to updates from you and other experts as well.
Such a great informative video. Appreciate Cern sharing broadly helping the community... Brilliant framework and delivery Cern. One of your best Herbert. . .
Thought I was going to be watching another cern basher model but instead was glued to the screen with all the facts about various investing instruments to preserve and handle wealth
Herbert thank you so much for doing this. This is so important!! PLEASE continue to do follow up videos with Cern and others (an attorney?) so that the community can learn how to protect the wealth that we have been so patiently waiting for!
The biggest lesson I learned in 2023 about the stock market is that nobody knows what will happen next, so practice some humility and low a strategy with a long-term edge.
Nobody knows anything; You need to create your process, manage risk, and stick to the plan, through thick or thin, While also continuously learning from mistakes and improving.
@@RodericksCurrys Yeah, I’m also closing in on retirement, and I have benefitted much from using a financial advisor. I didn’t start early, so I knew the compound interest of index fund investing would not work for me. Funny how I pulled in more profit than some of my peers who have been investing for many years.
@@AuerbachsPettises The beauty of MARGARET MOLLI ALVEY approach is her dual focus: while aggressively pursuing profit opportunities, she's equally tenacious about shielding investors from potential pitfalls. It's a balance few can achieve.
I’ve been watching your show from time to time, but this episode with Cern prompted me to subscribe and like, and become a more dedicated follower. Thanks to you and Cern for sharing such valuable and thought-provoking information!
Herbert, this is the most important content and presentation you have done! I look forward to more depth by area experts as promised by Cern. It preps us for discussions we need to have with our advisors.
I invested 5k back in 2013 into TSLA and bought 20 more shares in April this year to give me a nice round 500 shares for $8k total. My cost basis is $16.09/share.
Thankyou Herbert and Cern. This might be the best show you have completed this year. Very good info. Maybe, it should be done a few times a year in brief.... just to educate people and keep families focused and together. Somehow, wealth causes issues and it's doesn't have too and shouldn't be that way. But it does and this helps to educate and keep rifts from happening. Only if people are prudent.
This is absolutely essential information to consider and on which to develop an action plan. Thank you for sharing this with the Tesla community. May the fruit of this labor bless many individuals, families, and communities!
I recently sold some of my $TSLA stock to secure profits, but I'm retaining a portion for the long term. Tesla's growth potential remains robust. I'm considering diversifying my $400K stock portfolio, but I'm uncertain about managing risks in my next move.
Working with a financial advisor has been a game-changer for me. They provided invaluable insights and tailored strategies that aligned perfectly with my risk tolerance and financial objectives. With their support, I've seen significant growth in my investments and gained confidence in my financial future.
Marissa Lynn Babula is the advisr I use and I'm just putting this out here because you asked. You can Just search the name. You’d find necessary details to work with to set up an appointment.
Husband and I are both getting on a plane for a trip across the country. No family close by but pet guardians have been established. Will and trust set up so we know our babies will be well cared for if the worst happens. The peace of mind is fantastic. A product like Nokbox is also a must have for those you leave behind and is available online.
The current economic uncertainty has me reevaluating my investment strategy. While Tesla’s growth potential is exciting, I’m cautious about overexposure to any single stock. Diversifying into value stocks and ETFs might be a safer approach for long-term stability, especially with interest rates and inflation impacting the market.
I agree. Even with great opportunities, we should proceed cautiously. Seeking market analysis or advice from certified market strategists is important.
Absolutely, having a solid plan is crucial. My portfolio has doubled since early last year. My financial advisor and I are working towards a seven-figure goal, though it might take until Q3 2024.
Cern thanks for the great information. I really liked the detail of "spendthrift clauses," ethical will, and the family mission statement. Thank you very much, my man!! Will definitely put these topics into our trust, etc.
Thank you CERN! Yes, we offer dollar to dollar match to son’s Roth Contribution. He is in college and earns some income from summer job. He is so happy to contribute and invest TSLA and NVDA ( with our match) in Roth and see the growth😊
The income question is interesting. I would say have a core position of Tesla and never touch them. And do some positions on deep itm long call leaps and do covered calls against those positions. So if your strike gets hit, you can just sell those long calls for gain and take a loss on the covered calls (net gain). Your core shares will never get called away
Really interesting topics I haven’t actually heard or considered too deeply. It is cool too to be in such a privileged position that you have to start thinking about how to manage a lot of “money”
Excellent show . . . . . Again! I've got TSLA invested in my (1) Roth IRA, (2) Trad. IRA, (3) HSA, and (4) outside retirement accounts. Since I'll be DCAing over the next couple of years. I'd love a follow-up video (videos?) on how best to allocate. Thank you!!
I’ve been using DCA as my primary strategy for a long time, but with analysts raising price targets and Tesla’s current momentum, I’m debating whether to shift gears. I’m considering buying in now and riding the wave, rather than sticking strictly to DCA. What are your thoughts on this approach?

I have been moving my taxable IRA to my Roth IRA over the past several years. I am doing it for the exact reason you are stating. The income tax rates are lower now then they likely wil be in the future. I am moving it to Roth and paying the taxes out of other savings. I have also put 100% of my RMD toward the federal taxes to help cover the tax on the conversion. I expect my TESLA stock to 10x at least, so I want it in the tax free account.
Herbert, this is one of the best you've done with Cern. Very good information. As one who has always made a modest family income over my life, a million in personal wealth was only a dream. But a father who taught me how to be a good steward of what the Lord has blessed me with, my wife and I sit at well over 1 million in personal net worth. If Cern is right, (considering 20% of our net worth was in Tesla but this past month with Trump being elected has turned into 30%) by 2030, we will retire living on about 10% of our Tesla stock alone. The fun part will be leveraging the lion's share for Christ and His kingdom and helping kids and grandkids who are already quite gainfully employed making more money per year than I have ever made. Good stuff and necessary to think about before we get to these eye popping share price numbers.
