    Omar is the definition of "find what you love and you'll never work a day in your life." Dude is clearly super passionate about his job!

    What some people may not know about Omar is that he is also a highly experienced and successful MMA coach.
    I trained in his gym in Cape Town, back in the day before it was cool to be an MMA fighter.
    Omar knows fighting just as well as he does rugby. Incredible communicator and teacher!

    Argentina are the best example of how to beat the rush defence. Deep line, many legitimate options and try to take out key defenders the face previous to going wide to disorganise the defence and force mistakes

    Great getting such a knowledgeable guy like Omar to discuss rugby. Hope you do more like this. What about Felix Jones next to catch his perspective? Or a top attacking coach like Mike Catt to get his insights?

    What an informative pod. This chap explains everything simply and with such clarity. Who's he, and what does he do/where does he coach? Cheers.

    How to beat Boks blitz defense? Offer contracts to both Nienaber and Felix, forcing Rassie to change his approach by contracting Tony Brown and implementing Tony-ball - defense optional.

      The secrets will always come out. Teams have dedicated analysts, nevermind some of the coaches that were part of the Boks have left like Nienaber and Jones

    • @marlin7042
      @marlin7042 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I doubt that. Either way, you can analyse what's happening r4om the game/s so much that one can try to nullify that.

    • @marlin7042
      @marlin7042 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Also, once you understand the blitz, you got to analyse who organises the defence, who attacks the ruck and how you can counterattack that, which basically is the opposing attack

    The Boks are not blitzing like they did under Nienarber

  • @shanecollins3811
    @shanecollins3811 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Except the Boks are not using this anymore as they are too focused on attack and #toneyball. Conceded 3/4 tries in lots of games this season which was unheard of in Nienaber era.

    • @jameswyatt4443
      @jameswyatt4443 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What are you on about? The only game that they’ve been poor defensively was last week against Argentina. They didn’t concede against the ABs in Cape Town, and all 3 of the AB tries at Ellis Park were off turnover ball, you can’t set defensively for a turnover, an interception for example has nothing to do with the Bok defence. They conceded 3 tries against Portugal and they had a red card in the first minute. Ireland scored 1 in the second test and 3 in the first, it’s really not as bad as you’re making out.

    🔴 QUICK BALL FALLACY
    ▪️It only takes 2 seconds when a ruck develops for the defensive wall to be ready.
    ▪️This defensive wall normally extends 20 meters on both sides of the ruck.
    ▪️Getting a "Quick Ball" and you have a 40 meter wall of defenders waiting 😂😂😂
