@TrioTrioTrio I found out that the Type S boxes you have that Alarms N Stuff said are High Security boxes are apparently made by a company called Bridgend Plastics, according to an alarm installer!
Hi Mr Security, we don't know the code as it's my mum's alarm in her old house and she has passed away and we're selling her home. Do you know the easiest way how to reset it without knowing the code? Thanks.
Hi there, this is the only method I know of that works - remove all power (mains supply and backup battery) then make a wire link and connect it between the ‘Set’ and ‘PA’ Terminals and power up the panel again, then after a few seconds remove the wire link and re connect any existing wiring. The code will now be 0123.
@@mrsecurity ahhhhh well that would make sense! I was wondering why you were posting/replying to comments on yt but not responding to my messages from this morning 😂 I’ll message over insta?
I hope you can help. This was installed before I bought the flat and have been using it for a few years. When I was leaving the flat the other day I must have hit the wrong number and since then I've been unable to use my alarm. I am unsure if I accidently changed the number by mistake? I've been looking at the manual online and have tryed to reset it but had no luck. Any ideas?
@@mrsecurity I have. Nothing seems to work. I was reading the manual online. The alarm itself is working but I'm not sure what I've did to it. I spent about 30 minutes this morning trying to get it to work. Is there a way to completely reset it to factory setting then put a new code in and go from there?
@@findlay1arches yes there is a way to default it, it’s an engineers trick. Power down the panel, remove the backup battery, Open up the panel, remove any wiring from the PA Terminals, make a wire loop and put one end into the left PA Terminal and put the other end of the loop onto the SET+ terminal at the end of the circuit board. Power up the panel, leave for a few seconds then remove the wire link and replace all wiring back to how it was, now the code should be 0123 and the panel will be factory reset
I'm trying to find how to actually set my alarm to day mode. My unit constantly has the power light and the attack light on Red. Nothing I've tried makes it go to the green Day light/mode
@@jonnydaniel195 the Attack light goes on red when a Panic button is pressed in, so check all your panic buttons are reset (by turning the key so the indicator on the panic button is green) if this doesn’t resolve the fault let me know and I’ll suggest some other things to check
Thanks for this the only panic button we have is in our bedroom but never had a key for it. It looks depressed so where is the best place to get a key for it? We haven't really used the alarm since we moved in but trying to understand it for moving forward.
@@jonnydaniel195 you can un screw the panic button cover and push the red button upwards on the inside of the cover and then screw the cover of the panic button back on and this should fix the fault. Nice video, i think the racal guardall pirs you have on your demo go very well with type c alarm boxes and the optima xm is nice aswell
Yeah you gotta have all the classics

I think the first XMs were from 1985 or somewhere around then. Awesome

It's almost like the bottom row of buttons don't work but the numbers do when I enter the code after a power cut

Reason why the buttons don’t work is because when it’s in attack mode the panel locks itself down till the fault is cleared
