Ok being from Houston and reading the court documents she has a valid claim. She is signed to a small label 1501, she is their only successful artist. They gave her a small amount of 15,000 and a 60/40 deal with a portion of her masters. 70/30 concert, but she has to to pay for engineers, features and her staff out of her 40%. The alleged problem is the label did not fulfill all its legal obligations and take care of behind the scene things. To make it messier 1501 signed a deal with 300 for better distribution because they could not get their artists into larger markets. She also signed with 300. To make matters worst her mother and manager passed last year around this time. And Carl’s partner became her manager and got her to sign for Roc Nation for management which pissed off Carl Crawford the CEO of 1501. So now he has not paid her for the streams for her 3 platinum albums because he claims 300 has not paid him. Carl claims they have not paid him his portion for concerts since August. It’s a mess and in court and yesterday the court in Houston upheld her Order of protection and Carl is prohibited from slandering her. It’s a big ass mess basically. She asked to renegotiate because allegedly in Texas parts of her contacts are illegal. Carl did invest in her initially but not as much as he claims. Her videos are all low budget and feature her friends if you notice. And she has to pay her staff and her production out of her cut. They were allowing her to drop music whenever she wanted but tried to stop her from dropping music so she went to court and won. That is why we got Suga, she was working on her debut album when she says 1501 started tripping. So she dropped an EP so the fans will have some music while they work out the mess in court. It’s a mess and word on the street down here is that Carl’s punk ass ran to J Prince to try and control her. Well that backfired but it’s tense for her. Ok that’s all the information I have. The only reason she is ok is because she has endorsements from Dusse, Coach, and Puma.

Alice Perez first of all why are you so upset? Do you work for Carl? Do you all of this first hand? So let’s go over some details. I will not speak on her mother because she is deceased and I don’t know what she was promised for her daughter by Carl. But let’s say all you say is true. A contract signed has obligations that go both ways. If 1501 did not fulfill its obligations as promised then they can be held in breach. In addition she is alleging that the contract does not meet fair Standards for a TEXAS contract. So let’s start that. Her restraining order was upheld twice once initially and once again on the 13th when Carl tried to have it thrown out. He had his so called receipts then. In addition his lawyers filed to have the case thrown out because he wants mediation. So does he have receipts? Because in a interview two weeks ago he admitted to not paying her for all her streams for Tina Snow and Fever as well as Hot Girl Summer. His claim is the company 300 HE (Carl) also signed with had not paid him. That is the alleged reason that her camp began to withhold the concert revenue, but not until August, because previously all the money was sent to 1501 and THEIR accountants were not providing ledgers and receipts for the money they took in. So in other words she is alleging they were being deceptive. Now in Texas the state I reside in, if any of those things are true. The contract can be voided. So Carl needs to put up or STFU. If he has the receipts then drop them. So yes the deal was decent. If he fulfilled his end of the bargain. Are you sure he has? Because based on his own statements and admission he did not know what he was doing. Finally as far as J Prince is concerned if you are from Texas you know his reputation both positive and negative, and if he was so admired by Carl then why didn’t he reach out to him for guidance instead of T Farris? Why didn’t he ask him to use his influence to help with his artists distribution instead of signing a deal with 300? Ha? No he went to him for muscle when he was afraid he was going to lose his only commercially successful artist. Instead of flying her in and reassuring her and opening his books to her, he tried to intimidate her, as well as her friend Lil Ju her beat maker. He tried to use J Prince to flex. J Prince should have stayed out of it and minded his GD business. But then Jay Z is a sensitive topic, also from his mouth. All she asked was to renegotiate some things, she never said she wanted to sign with ROC nation for her label. She signed to them as management. Plenty of artists are signed to them. Her career, her choice, and if Carl had his shit together label wise and had built a relationship with his top artist instead of depending on Farris to do it, he would not have been intimidated by her move. As far as what he has invested. He got his money back and has posed with her three platinum songs. Two songs from Suga a rushed EP has two songs this week in the Billboard top 100. The two that she filmed the low budget videos for using her own people. Carl ain’t done shit to promote the EP. In fact his butt hurt, unprofessional ass has gone on her page and made disparaging remarks. He is like I said a punk ass Nigga. And on that I stand. Finally J Prince should be ashamed of himself threatening a woman younger than his children. Mind his GD business.

The real isn’t the percentage, but the fact that everything has to be paid for out of Megan’s cut, and 1501 hasn’t been paying Megan her full amount. Yes, she signed a contract, and she’s been adamant that she’s only trying to renegotiate some of the details of the contract, and not leave completely. Sis just ain’t trying to go broke. 🤷🏽♀️
