  • In this episode I install the Ground Control Coilover Conversion kit on my BMW e30, along with the Ground Control rear shock mounts. This is a little bit of a complex installation but nothing you can't tackle if you want to DIY.

I really like the bottle opener adapters you added to the lower rear shock mount!

That car is going to ride very nice, had the same setup on my E30. You can switch to a Koni adjustable shock, you’ll really be able to dial in the suspension

So is it okay not to weld that metal collar on? That would save me a lot of work! Hows it been holding up for you with it just slid over like that?

Seriously why is there no tension between front shock mount and springs? This is funny, i wanted to purchase these ground control conversion as i want my e30 to be capable track car, but this just looks so wrong. That spring will wobble all around over small bumps.

I've seen videos of the way you have done by cutting the spring perch and fitting and videos of people cutting 2 inch from the bottom of the tubing and welding.
Just wondering if there's a reason for the difference in ways? Will be doing mine soon so advice would be nice cheers

Do you remember the springs lb value to match these B8s? I used 600lb F, 500lb R and had to have my B8s revalved to match.
