    Truth be told, there's nothing positive about these mini projects. If you want South Africans to have positive posture towards life, just provide jobs for the people, that's all!

    South Africans know that these projects aren"t really a big deal, theres bigger projects that have been completed and some under construction. These projects arent impressive, they're expected.

    I think the only reason these 'mega' projects shook the world was because it was actually completed. Now please make a video named '1000 projects which infuriated the taxpayers' or '1000 incomplete projects'

    • @MrDanieburger
      @MrDanieburger 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I totally agree Charl, for every 1 project completed there was most likely 10 or more projects that flopped. It would also be interesting to know how much these projects actually cost after you deduct the monies that was stolen and paid to dummy companies that tenders were awarded too.

    Some of the projects are not mega projects. They are just capital projects. There are mega projects such as Waterfall City, Menlyn Mein, Conubia an so on. On roads at least you should have included the upgrade and N4 between Pretoria and Rustenbug to a dual carriage high way. It was competed in 2021 around November.

      Spot on Jabulani. While a new road into Ivory Park is awesome for the residents there, I can guarantee it didn't SHAKE the world.
      A lot of the video footage isn't anything to do with what they are talking about. For example, they feature a solar thermal plant, yet the visuals are of a PV electric installation. The inaccuracies are rampant. I wouldn't spend another minute watching any more of Displore's drivel. It's pathetic. 😞

    I'm from SA and can honestly say some of these I did know about... some of the info here is a little misleading too ... The M1 highway project - They have been working on since before 2010 and even now parts are closed due to the failure to have competent contractors do the work ... Solar power and wind power: might generate power but daily the load shedding implementation cuts power to the entire country for 3 hrs in sections -
    What you see here is contracts being payed for and time frames extended due to the corrupt government awarding tenders to direct family members who have shares in these contracts - so the projects might be finished but never used correctly - 2010 stadiums stand unused - the bus services don't run cause the taxi associations burn the busses as they loose business .... the list goes on

    Africa is the next superpower. We really need to start working together and stop fighting over petty disputes that improvish us all in the process. We think we are different but the moment we leave the continent (like what happened in Ukraine) WE ARE BLACK!
    We could literally do a similar situation to America where we agree on fundamental rights then have local laws tailored to the individual peoples. A united states of Africa.
    I vow in my lifetime I will see it happen. A finally free Africa.

      it's just a continent blessed with so much of stuff that it people should not be failing to understand that lucky they are to be blessed with the abundant natural resources that Africa's got right from the precious minerals to the non renewable energy to the coming renewable energy era. A continent that's just full of Wealth if manage properly and the continent that can truly lift it's people and make each and every one of them wealthy enough yet there are certain factors that are still holding the Africa to unleash it's greatest potential but if Africa start unleashing it's potential then it can just be as powerful as USA. Unity is the strength Afterall if you're United then you'll rise to the greater heights. Each of us should be giving our level best.. work our fingers to the bone to make Africa a greatest bestest continent.

      Did you know the most successful immigrants in the USA are Nigerians? The Emirati states prefer S.Africans for their work ethic? Zimbabweans are the most educated people in Africa?
