3 things I do are... 1: always make skin clothing even if you're to the point of making wool and linen clothing because skin clothing will be worth quite a bit when the trader comes around. Instead of having to trade valuable weapons or tools, you can have a stock pile of skin clothing that no one's even wearing anymore to use as throw away "money". 2: When you're entire village has low morale, be sure to hit your fancy alarm horn when being attacked by raiders. This will make all of your people get in the fight and when they win it's a massive morale boost and an instant cure to their lil emo selves. 3: Always always always remove a diseased crop. Do not let it spread to the others. It's always best to throw away that one section of crop than to let it infect the rest and you loose the whole field.
Something I found useful to start, don't set up a hunting ground, rather, keep an eye on meat, when low, search for a few game, click on them, they'll get too it and generally with the right numbers. Don't over do the hunt either. The key is not to over work them.
I think that's about right. Honestly even over working for a hunt won't happen, but setting up hunting grounds will cause overwork because up to 5 people could be reserved as a task. Vs an attempted hunt that releases only what's needed to hunt perhaps only 3 people. This keep the work load lower.
This video summarized some very good ideas Additional tips: 1) if you are very early in the game and far from unlocking thratching, do not ever buy straw because it decays really fast. 2) early game: when using continous production in your crafter, try to set bone harpoons and all flint tools to 150% of population, they are worth a lot to traders. 3) if a trader has a low commission, buy as much as you can. If trader has a high commission, buy as little as possible. 4) look for huge flat land areas, and clear as many trees as possible to prepare for farming. 5) get your tech priorities correct. It is ok to go into the next era without finishing the current era research. But plan out everything. (Eg: plant lots of grain crops before unlocking thratching to get an abundant supply of straw)
When making work areas be sure to set limit higher because if you miss this, when you get to later stages in the game you’ll consume the resources as fast as they are collected and the workload will hover around 200% - 400%
My tip or heads up is, tha AI freaks out after 110viligers. at least on PS4. My current situation -Workload 60% -143 villagers -60 sickles -40 meat in store -50 vegies in store All of a sudden, no one is farming, 80 villagers die of starvation.
SAME!!! Once I get to 110ish people, everything goes to shit. I don't even adjust things that much at that point expect maybe add one or two extra people to a work area. But nothing major. They just all of a sudden start dying. I can have over 100 meat and plenty of resources and then BAM! They dead! haha
Regarding the techs you can buy from the trader, I could never afford to buy a single one until I had a 150 people settlement and giant stockpiles of resources. The prices are kinda crazy if you don't have many animals and very modern tools to sell
I'm loving this game. However it would be more realistic if when more people arrive they come with new tech/knowledge. It's also a pitty that there are no atlatl. Buying knowledge from the trader is actually a cool thing. Once I noticed I started doing plus weapons and tool to trade them for faster knowledge. Probably arguably the best game of this type. For older ages, I recomend Ancestors... Where you evolve form an chimp like Ape (Ardipithecus) towards an Homo erectus. I would love more stuff about Paleolithic. There 's so much potential... different lithic technologies, nomadic needs, diferent species...
during my first playthrough I messed up few things: 1) upgrading many buildings at once means you loose shelter and storage space, basically quick death 2) cancelling the upgrade process which leaves small pile of resources, not previous building level 3) having lots of livestock animals (70-80) without having enough straw which "grows" once a year trying to compensate by bulks of fields resulting in overproduction of wheats and filling storage with hundreds of decaying wheats 4) not having any leathers to bring monoliths in copper age
I don't think 3 should be a problem. Logic says that animals also eat wheat... My main concern is the AI... It sucks big time. I have lots of carts and animals to use them, yet the people INSIST in gathering stuff by hand and when they do, they don't fill the spaces... Jesus it gets to my bones. Worse, when the get the cart, THEY DON'T FILL IT...
If you’re gonna say spoilers its kinda your job to say what could get spoiled. Is it progression? Anyone can see whats available later on through the tech tree, so i’d assume you don’t mean that. I just started yesterday and want to watch your video, but feel deterred at the first sentence being a warning about general spoilers.
People find spoilers in every little thing so I add that at the start of every video as a warning. Personally I don't think there's anything spoilery in here though.
Thanks for the information. but i came here to know , how to get straw ? everytime i need to buy straw and don't know from where i get that. NICE VIDEO, Thanks again.

You get straw from grain bearing crops.
Plant the first 3 crops
Barley, Einhorn, Ekerton
(Maybe wrong spellings)
an easy way get straw you just search on google
