My ex from 8 years ago I thought was my one but I was completely wrong, she put me through hell but it only trained my to be better and I found my wife after many more mistakes, learning and self reflection, still to this day I'm doing all 3 every day.

It doesn't matter how I'm feeling or what mood I'm in, this band seems to find a way to teach me a lesson, or pick me up no matter what! Those guys are lifesavers and so incredibly talented people 🤘

I love that he's started doing songs like this, aside from Shinedown. His voice is incredible, and it's like he's opened up so many more doors for himself. I respect his music so much, that I could listen to either Shinedown all day or Smith and Myers. But I'll be honest, starting to REALLY like Smith and Myers more. Keep it up Brent.

This song reminds me of an old friend who took her life 17 years ago, I still think of her often and have literally had nights of no sleep thinking of her. I shared this song with her mom recently and I made her day just by letting her know that her daughter is not forgotten and someone else is still thinking of her.

I lost my soul mate 12 years ago after life became too much for him.
Lost my wonderful hubby 21 years ago and for some reason this hit me to the core. There isn’t a day that goes by that my thoughts are with him. Some days I think I gotta tell him this or that then I remember he probably already knows. I feel his love and kindness with me always.

The thing that amazes me about these guys is that, as amazeballs as their covers of "someone like you", "keep on Rockin (in the free world)", "rebel yell", "don't look back in anger", and "unchained melody" are? (and the they are truly amazing covers) It's the originals that blow me away the most.
This song absolutely kicks my ass in so many ways. I did some bad things, and it cost me THE love of my life after 22 years together. I have nothing now except regrets, and I miss her SO much.
The look on Brent's face right before fading to black shows how deeply these words are etched into him, how true everything he's expressing here, and it is heart wrenching.

This was the first song I heard after my partner took her own life. She loved music and of our shared music artists shinedown was top of the list. After 8 years loving her and learning about the harder life she led then most had finally hit her breaking point with the death of her dog Baymax. She was strong. But we all run the risk of being pushed harder then we can push back. Tell your people you love them. Because someday they might not be around for you to see them smile back when they hear it. I just absolutely love this song! From the very first time I listened to it I immediately loved it. I especially love the setting of how they have you singing. Reminds me of my sister who passed unexpectedly 7 yrs ago, she was only 34. It's a reminder of how short life is and that we should live every day to the fullest. Live, laugh, love hard, pray even harder, try to forgive people but not for them but yourself.
