Mida Multi-Tool is one of the oldest Exotics in Destiny and, at different points in time, has been one of the most popular options in PvP, as well as one of the least popular options. Armed with a very generous incentive, I took this Exotic into Trials to see what it could do in modern-day Destiny. Enjoy!

The MIDA Multi-Tool improves sprint speed by 10%. When you're using both weapons, the Mini-Tool also provides this same 10% buff to sprint speed. Additionally, Lightweight frames provide a +20 boost to mobility (that does not provide additional benefits beyond 100 mobility). The MIDA combo improves walking speed up to its max at 70 mobility, where it caps out at 10% above the normal walking speed. Strafe speed (walking speed while ADS) is improved by the Lightweight frame against normal strafe speed up until 100 mobility, where you're strafing at the same speed regardless of whether or not you're using a lightweight frame.
I believe with stompies you gain hight jump as well.

remember the aim point for Mida isn't the tip of the triangle but the Base of the triangle (put it on their head like a little hat!)

"Multi tool" is probably the most apt name ever for this thing.
It has never (or rarely) ever been absolutely amazing, but it has always been good.
Just one of those overall consistently solid options.
Lets be real any gun you use makes it look viable. You just too good man xD

Also you have to keep in mind one of his teammates is a world class trials player, which means he’s almost always shooting the same guy from a different angle so it looks like it melts when really it’s a mixture of Jake’s aim and shots from GE

I slept on the Calis Mini-Tool weapon for a year. Had it in the vault with no kills at all. Got the hip fire/kill clip role. Just ran it on Solar Titan paired with MIDA Multi-Tool and the mobility perk is insane! Have 100 Res, 100 Recovery and add this combo along with the benefits of aspects and fragments. Zoom-Zoom-Pop-Bang-Bang-Kill-Explode. It's absolute fun.

All Lightweight frame weapons (including Mida) give you 20 mobility while holding it and the same sprint speed boost as Dunemarchers, Stompees, and Transversive Steps.
I believe equipping Mida with the mini-tool (Calus or regular) gives additional strafe speed, but no additional mobility stat or sprint speed. This part I'd need to double check though.

I would love a flawless carry. Most I can see to string together is 4 in a row. Been lucky a few times getting 5, but then it all goes to shit in a hand bag lol. Love watching your vids. Even though I usually Solar warlock main in trials, some of your tips and tricks have really helped me out. I will be on all weekend grinding away if you find it in your heart to help a fellow guardian out. Keep pumping out the great vids!
The new passage of persistence card did help me get an adept scout last week. Helps the guys like me have a better chance at getting sweet rolls and adepts. With the return of the Summoner, I have noticed I’m not running into the same guys every 2-4 matches. Nice to see a rise in the number of players doing Trials

Go to neomuna and crouch 6 times infront of osiris and then go to the tower
And crouch 6 times at saint 14
And then just win 7 games in a row
I like Mida...from way back when, when it was truly the 'go to' gun for most things; however, it got nerfed into oblivion and is pretty useless bar the speed perk, which can be useful occasionally. Also, there is an ornament (camo skin) which gives it a red dot reticle, which I prefer to the chevron reticle. Otherwise, Mida is just too slow re TTK times, and therefore, next to useless, for me, anyway. I still like it though, even though I don't like the camo skin, I do like the red dot reticle...and when I do dig it out of the vault, I quickly put it back again...which is sad for such an epic 'used to be good' exotic, that Mida's become.
Bro at one point mida was melting crota they had to nerf it
Mida was my first exotic in D1, used to have 21 rounds and triple tap with ease. Got nerfed to hell in D2, but in the past couple years scouts have had various buffs and Mida itself got No Distractions, that and the recent sandbox changes have brought Mida up a few notches. Glad to be back using it again, however it's still a shell of it's original self.
Still my favorite gun by a long shot, viability is tough though.
Mida is a great gun for titans and warlocks. The extra speed lets you move around the map easier without having to put as much into manoeuvre. But he was right that it needs a slightly more open map to really shine. Playing in distances suited for other weapons means you have to get every shot, or you're done. But then you have to worry about snipers that can one shot you. I think it's a great weapon for lower skill players to avoid getting killed while looking down the scope. I don't think it's really suited for competitive players that can move around the map really well and keep good situational awareness. Good match for newer players is the mida with dune marchers. Can zoom around the map, then look down the sights without losing radar.
You gotta run Mida, invis, knuckle or graviton forfeit . Nutty.

Try the desert ornament. It makes it a red dot sight instead of the terrible Chevron sight

Tap the trigger is such an S tier perk on any weapon, 40 stability and better accuracy is nuts.
What is the best stasis exotic for hunters?
Any of the neutrals (Stompees, Wormhusk, Knucklehead, Frostees) or Mask of Bakris. Really just depends on what you prefer for playstyle. Like moving fast? Stompees. Like always having radar with info up for call outs to your team? Knucklehead. Like abilities up more often? Frostees. But Bakris combined with Winter's Shroud Aspect essentially gets you a free kill or get out of jail free card if you need it. Just has a long cool down.

This man uses Mida and gets 8 kills in one match in Trials; I use Mida and got 3 kills in 3 matches of Crucible 6s.

Reduce Mobility to 80 and get 100 Grenade
Or keep 100 mobility so your strafe stays good no matter what weapon you’re using? Lmao
@@ItsTendy27 you’ll have more Strafe with MIDA anyway. IMO the strafe difference is basically unnoticeable between 80 and 100 anyway. Best to maximize your other stats if using a lightweight on Hunter. otherwise it’s a total waste of 20 Mobility from the MIDA, use it w Helio sidearm and be all lightweight all the time
Jade rabbit is better. I truly think that Jade rabbit + a good sidearm is one of the best loadouts in this game

Why is Mida doing such inconsistent crit damage without any obvious damage perks, buffs/debuffs, surges, or damage fall off?
Example #1: Hits the same target for 3 crits at the same distance within 2 seconds. Hits for 65, 62, 65. (12:33 in video)
Example #2: Hits the same target at long range for 65 and 65 and moves to close range and hits for 61. (13:11 in video)
Am I missing something obvious here? Those are just two of several times in this video where damage numbers from Mida fluctuated unexpectedly.
I think both were because of the warlock. Both smaller damage numbers were when they were in/close to the well and the Stag gives damage reduction while in the well. Why one was a 61 close and the other was 62, idk
