What a cool bike. If you send jmc that serial number they will let you know when bike was made and where bike was sold. JMC kept very good records of frames built.
I did that and got the certificate of origin for the bike. It was sold about 5 mi away from my house in October of 1980. It's a long standard. I think it was called. Thanks for watching the video. The bike is in safekeeping at my house.

We got a certificate of origin from JMC and pictures of my wife when she got it for Christmas in 1980. I think it's a family heirloom. You can see it on display in my garage in my other car videos.

@@greasebellygarage I looked them up on eBay. Two frame sets. One was 2200 bucks and the xl 24 inch was 7500 bucks!!! Insane the money these high end 80s race bikes get!
i have the same frame its a 1983 short standard im restoreing mine that i have from a kid. all parts were stolen got frame. so re building aswell sucks lost the forks and bars! hope u well on your build any questions just ask me. I got you ! Allot of things your way off on lol on the build :) here to help i Lost my Son and started back building in my spare time.....sucks !

I got a certificate of authenticity from JMC.. thanks for watching and good luck with yours, we are gonna leave it's the way it is. It's rideable but I think I'll pick up some red tires and a correct seat
