- Hello Nu Yawkers! Today finds me back in beautiful Atlantic City on the historic Boardwalk spending a night at Bally's Hotel and Casino. I'm staying in the Bally's Tower which I prefer over the Dennis Tower since the Bally's Tower has been recently renovated. I've yet to stay in the Garden Tower which I've heard good and bad about. Hopefully I'll get a room in that tower soon! Everything in my Bally's Tower room was clean and new as expected. The video is an extensive tour and review of every nook and cranny so check it out if you plan on visiting or you're just interested to see what things look like! @@NuYawk I take the bus to Atlantic City and so the first thing when I get off the bus can be exciting. I have many memories, oddly, of the casino waiting area for bus passengers. I like the Caesar's bus waiting area; it treats you like you're valued. Some of the waiting areas feel like, 'you've lost all you money. Get out of here.' It might be fun to do a video on bus waiting area, as we spend a lot of time there waiting.

The tour was great, and I thought the room was nice.
On my return from North Carolina to NY, I stayed 2 days in Virginia where I play at MGM national Harbor. I was playing journey to the planet Moolah 75 cents a spend and hit the unicorn which gave me 403 spends. It retrigger a few times and I had a total of 535 spins, and I was able to win $645😅 .

Cool! Again, I like that you talked about the workstation in this video. Last time it was the drawers, this time it is the workstation. I like these little descriptions of things and I hope that you continue to add more and more of them until you eventually describe the entire room lol.
Yes, I noticed a lot of casinos in Atlantic City skip floor numbering. If you’re in the lobby or restaurant level, you’ll notice that there are a set of elevators in this tower for floors 20-37, and 38-49. But nothing under 20… The main levels are also numbered weird too and I think all of it it’s just to make us think that they’re on a higher floor than they really are. There might be another reason, but that’s the one that seems most obvious and makes the most sense to me.

i stayed at Atlantic palace many years ago and I loved it. I also stayed at a place can't remember name in that same area. when you parked in the parking garage you had to put your car in a elevator to take you to the parking floor it was really weird, not sure if that place is still there?
I don't think so. I've seen elevators in parking garages but mostly in NYC. It does sound familiar to me, but not around any more. Thanks for watching James!

Nice room, looks clean and comfortable except for that round chair by the window. It's ugly looking too. Anyway, I'm glad Bally's decided to make their pool adults only. I really enjoy their hot tubs too.

Very nice room. that chair with the blue leather cushion does not look very comfortable to me.
It does not look comfortable to me either. There have been times when I've had to write something on coffee tables like that and you can't put your feet under and so I do a man spread, which doesn't stay comfortable for too long. I never 'work' in hotel rooms, but I get 'antsy' sitting at a "desk type area" that's connected to the main dresser. I like to look out the window, glance at the TV, ponder "I'm away from home! Hurray!"

After doing some research it seems that most of the hotels have their room floors properly labeled. Tropicana is the probably the only hotel that doesn't, at leas tin the Havana tower. You can look up how many floors each hotel has by typing it into google. Trop has 33 as their highest floor, Hard Rock is 41 I think, Ballys is somewhere in the 30's, Harrahs is in the 40's, Borgata is in the 40's and Ocean is in the high 50's very close to 60.
I think its a Caesars thing (same in Las Vegas). The Caesars Centurion Tower is only 25 stories high but the elevator buttons and room numbers go well into the 50's. My last stay was a room number (and elevator button) in the 40's yet I was about 10 stories above the parking garage and the elevator buttons start in the 20's. LOL! I stayed at Bally's last thanksgiving and Tropicana after Memorial Day. I found many issues with Ballys from check in to furniture. I stayed at Ballys because of rates and their location near the outlet stores. We found our front desk reception to be warm, inviting and funny. After my experience at Bally's I will not be staying there anymore. They basically put lipstick on a pig.

The reason why the floors and room numbers are wacky is because of a Chinese superstitions. Some numbers are unlucky and since the Chinese are the biggest gambling/gaming group that why most people are like "WHAT" Where is my room? and why do we skip floor #33 from #32 to #34 on the elevator buttons? #33 is a unlucky number. I remember the Trump Taj had to put the offices on the # 33rd floor so they could save $2,000,000 on the floor because so one added to many floors on top minus one floor!!

Not sure if that’s the real reason, but it could be one of them… That is an interesting take though. Does this building really skip 33? Does it skip all of the numbers that have a three in them? I never really paid much attention to that to be honest.
@@Dwall44 They do not skip floors but a good casino knows that some #'s are unlucky too the Chinese so they don't up the numbers on the elevator doors button or room numbers
