You keep giving us one gift after another! I fucking love campfire, dying to hear sundowner in its entirety, just thank you Kevin! I'm inspired by you immensely, me and the ol' J-45 love jamming to your shit! Sending a lot of love your way brother!
Lou’s engineer told him the line came from Bruce Springsteen’s Born to Run. Bruce was recording in the same studio. He had no problem with the line and came into the studio and sang the line in an uncredited vocal. See Wikipedia for reference.
Thanks so much for this beautiful "Street Hassle" quote. Didnt know the song before and been listening to it on repeat since. And the cover is very verx nice obviously but the quote is next level.😊 I discovered Miss Ohio through your cover of it also btw. So thanks for that as well.
you and Katie played this by a request I did on an IG live on the quarantine. I was so very nervous! ♥️ you are being the same to me as Lou was to yourself, Thanks for that 💘
(you know you can change the colours of the main displays on your Mello Kev? Got the micro, adore it. Did you use it for the gorgeous organ sound on Come to me Now? And if so, what `instruments` did you combine? also, i`ve a question that so far no Reed/Velvets fan has been able to answer, but you will need to have a copy of his Rock `n Roll Heart docu? Cheers x)
"Wishing won't make is so, Joe." Also, wasn't part of the bit you read spoken by Bruce Springsteen? "...we were born to pay" ... "Born to Run" was being recorded at the same time, I think. I love your music, and I agree about Lou Reed's greatness. You (and Lou) make a good point about Trump, in part. I don't understand why people idolize a child-like egomaniac, but I fully understand why he was elected. The side that used to protect liberal values now prophecies a utopia based on feelings/emotion/equal outcome/absolutism/probabilism/etc. They support postmodernism and new Marxism, and they want to manifest this Garden of Eden using collective authority and the unlimited growth of government. The leaders of both major parties are responsible for the D.C. cesspool - not Trump. The criticism applied by democrat leaders to Trump are often mistakes democrats make themselves. Things can get a lot worse - especially when all of the wars are reignited in the Middle East and we grow the out-of-control bureaucracy even further. We shouldn't be voting to anoint a perfect leader. They don't exist. We should be voting for the person who will grow government authority the LEAST - not the one who promises the best future. The leader who will maximize individual creativity the most is the one who supports limited government, the European Enlightenment, and our Forefathers' governing ideas. Modern democrats openly reject this philosophy.
