You can do it! When I was 21 I travelled to the US for 2 weeks by myself (except for a design conference that went for 2 days in LA). I was in New York for 5 days all on my lonesome and it was the best trip ever! I could literally spend all day doing all the things I loved and it was so freeing not having to wait around for other people. I hope you have a good time!

If your going to put your lovely white trainers in the washing machine, I strongly suggest you put them first in a pillow case or wash bag. Then they won't get ruined. My mum gave me that tip.
I used to work right near Flatiron and would go to that Argo tea, Sephora, and Madewell more often than I'd like to admit! Love that area. You should also check out the Artizia and club Monaco there...and Journelle for amazing lingerie!

Lily! I just wanted to say I'm thoroughly enjoying everyday May. I've never been to the States so I'm living vicariously through you! Also I have exactly the same issues with flying as you - I hum to myself as softly as possible and I find it evens out my breathing if I'm hyperventilating, also my doctor gets me to take two meds (of course check with your doc first!!) - dramamine/Paramine and meclizen/bonamine with added caffeine. Without caffeine I fell asleep mid conversation once!! Looking forward to more of your vlogs xx

Oh, the camera bag looks just like the bag that holds my grandfather's old binoculars. How cool! Too bad his is old and kinda raggedy-looking... not in a nice way. It would be fun as an alternative in the winter.

I use wet wipes & micellar water to clean my white trainers to avoid the weird distorting when you wash trainers in the washing machine!
