broken ocarina kinda, Danganronpa is about high school students getting trapped in a school and are forced to kill someone and get away with murder to leave. After each murder there’s a class trial which is kinda similar to the Ace Attorney trials. Its really good though so if you like AA I’d definitely recommend!

But it is slightly ambiguous. The witness only testified that he *initially* didn't enter the apartment, and then goes on to testify that he tried the cordless phone which was not working, and the phone was obviously inside the apartment, so that says in his original testimony that he entered the apartment. I saw where he was going with answering "No," he didn't *necessarily* have anything to contradict, much less hard evidence with which to contradict it.
This game has a lot of ambiguous as hell decisions like that. In one of the trials it is never once mentioned that the car in question is an import. You have to see that in the evidence. Furthermore its not mentioned that the driver's side is on the wrong side because of it. Not at all implied ever that it is significant and its buried in the evidence details. I was trying not to use a guide becuase this is a story based game and guides spoil everything in these. I lost and had to replay 20 minutes worth of game like 5 times before I gave up and looked up that exact part.

Granted this game is full of moments like that you're right its difficult to really say yes when you don't exactly have definitive proof. That will be a big reoccuring theme in this game which I love. I can't wait to see what Danny and Arin think.

what i love about Phoenix, is that despite the fact this game was written in the mid-to-late 90's, a time when the concept didn't even EXIST yet, Phoenix Wright somehow perfectly captures the millennial spirit (including having his life entirely go to shit in 2020!) for those who don't know, the first game takes place in 2016, Phoenix is 24. He was born in 1992.
I love this series already, you guys really are in your element with these story based games. And Ace is a very fun one to listen too with you boys talking over it. I hope this series gets to the end.

I love the Ace Attorney series, so I'm glad it seems like both Arin and Dan are enjoying this so far. Also, I would love to hear a real defense attorney, in court, say "Just look at the witness's face! It's dumb and stupid!"
🌺I understand there's lots of changes going on in the GG world rn, so I'm saying this from an understanding place: if you're going to pre-upload, *please* make the episodes longer. Please make your upload schedule consistent. Please consider the style of game vs. the game's content, and whether it's something viewers will tolerate being dragged out (days between an action game make more sense versus a visual novel where you need to remember clues/dialogue). Seriously, why isn’t Wright just a private eye instead? I mean, he’s not a lawyer due to him touching the body and messing with evidence, in the very least not a law abiding one, but a fantastic private eye. I like it.

I miss Dan using that super monotone voice for different colored game button instructions in the middle of dialogue.
I love these kinds of series, like trauma center and ddlc. They're so engaging and the various voices they do make it that much more enjoyable to watch
