    Can't wait to make this. Just put the recipe in the Paprika app and noticed that the kidney beans are left out of the written instructions. Please keep making these videos! They are terrific!

      Merry Christmas to you as well. I haven't a clue about making sausage but I would love to have one to grind my own burger.

    Just curious… I didn’t see any cumin? Is that a spice not used in Cajun/creole cooking?

    • @regularfolksfood
      @regularfolksfood  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      It's not usually found in creole or Cajun cooking. In fact, it was never a spice used much historically in the American south at all. Cumin is an awesome, very........ very old spice hailing from the regions of India, the middle east and northeast Africa ........... it didn't find a root in the American south and to this day isn't used in any traditional southern cooking. However, one could certainly add a teaspoon or two and cook it in probably with the garlic. :) I added it to my Lousiana swamp chili cook i posted a few weeks ago.................. the youtube food police never serve their warrants.

      @ I love a BM. I am cooking up a storm filming our New Years meal, the pork, cabbage/greens, black eyed peas and cornbread.
      Enjoy your time off and I hope you have a Merry Christmas man.

    ZZ Bloody Mary mix is VERY salty! ✌

    • @regularfolksfood
      @regularfolksfood  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yey, makes it extra good. Lighlty salting the pork/beef, low sodium broth, no salt added tomatoes and a couple cups of water and it all works out.

    • @BlackJesus8463
      @BlackJesus8463 9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@regularfolksfood you have to dilute with something

    • @regularfolksfood
      @regularfolksfood  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Its not that salty. You pour 6 ounces of it in a glass and "dilute" with 1.5 ounces of Vodka............. it gets drunk up.

    No holy trinity/san fria? No way, frere.

    • @regularfolksfood
      @regularfolksfood  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      There is half a kitchen sink of trinity in this chili. Perhaps re-watch awake this time or read the ingredient list in the description. Merry Christmas.
