    Coming from MTG made this a lot easier to learn than I thought. To me, charging energy is playing any card from my hand as a "land" and tapping it to produce that card's color. Tapped mana has to be spent or it fizzles on the next phase, but you can tap on any phase to use it, just like energy it seems.

    Did bring me an idea for a video in the future if you want: instead of learning from 0, just a vid about moving from Fusion World to Masters for people that want. What they have to consider, what approachment do they have to adapt... We have to see how FW ends being, but seems like a possible worry

      Hey, thanks for the support! :D
      I'm aware of that change but it was reverted with the rules update from the 1st of September back to what it was like before (same with in which order you take lives and how overlord/servant interaction works). I think that it was just a mistake in the rulebook, had this confirmed in the judge forum. :D

    So... Masters is the game we play in card version now, and Fusions is a simplified version.
    Will Masters have all the current cards we are able to play?

    • @TheLookoutDBS
      @TheLookoutDBS  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Yes, Masters is the game that we are playing today. It got re-branded to Masters and, starting soon, we will be seeing the new logo and name on the products. Fusion World is the new simplified version of the game and that one will have a digital version in addition to the physical game.
      All current cards will remain legal, nothing changes with Masters except the name of the game! 😄

    • @PRAETORIAN09
      @PRAETORIAN09 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @TheLookoutDBS I think it's stupid the game we were promised is being changed to fusions instead. But as long as we get to play the actual card game online in some way, then it will be worth the change.

    This was amazing! I really appreciate how much this video showed. I think we are using most of the rules correctly.
    One thing that caught me out unawares was the “Once per turn” rule. I could have sworn it was “use when you are ready”, and not “you must use it on your first opportunity, or not for the rest of the turn”. But, I’ll defer to the master! Sorry to ask for other games, but do you know if that is the same for both Digimon and One Piece? If so, we’ve been playing all three wrong oops!
    The combat timings are still a bit tricky for a newbie like me. I’m sure with more plays it will start to get cemented into my brain.
    I’ve found a few DBS deck sites; I was wondering which one(s) you preferred if any?

    • @TheLookoutDBS
      @TheLookoutDBS  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey, thanks for the feedback! I'm glad to hear that this was helpful! :D I'll try to help you out a bit more (maybe I'll make another video in the future about combat timing and some advanced rules) :)
      ''Once per turn'' can both work the way that you've mentioned and not. For example, auto skills which are ''once per turn'' trigger at the first opportunity, but if you have, for example, activate:main ''once per turn'': draw a card, then that is a ''use when you are ready'' ability. It is a bit weird but the best way to keep track of it is that auto ''once per turn'' skills are those which always fire off on the first opportunity. Essentially, if a skill has a certain condition and ''once per turn'' then it fires off at the first opportunity (example, auto once per turn: when this card attacks draw a card) I don't know about other games as I didn't play them. :)
      Combat timings can be a bit tricky but the best way to get used to them is to remember that:
      - First comes the attack, then it is the counter window. If the attack is negated, combat ends immediately
      - If the attack isn't negated, the defending player may activate blocker skill (if a card has blocker)
      - Following that, the attacking player can combo and use his activate:battle abilities first. Once he is done, the defending player uses his combos and activate:battle skills
      - Most importantly, you can attack however/whenever you want during your turn. For example, you can attack, then play some cards, then attack with them, then use some abilities, then attack with the remaining cards. There is no ''combat phase'' like in YGO, for example
      The best website for decklists is without a doubt DBS deckplanet. It is both easy to use and it has the most extensive database of cards and decks among all competitors: www.dbs-deckplanet.com

      @@TheLookoutDBS Thank you again for the amazing advice! It definitely makes more sense now. I was mainly talking about triggered Once per Turns, which I guess would only be Auto, unless maybe there is another prefix that would also force it to first opportunity or nuffin? (Not sure)
      I also watched your hilarious BT22 Janemba video. I'll keep watching those archetype guides as it gives me a lot of good examples of play and card combos. But, you should definitely get outraged at how bad some cards are more often. A few of us were laughing quite a bit during that one!

    • @TheLookoutDBS
      @TheLookoutDBS  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@PootWindbreaker Happy to help! :)
      Yes, auto is the one which has a mandatory trigger on once pet turn. The other keywords don't have it in 99% of cases.
      Haha happy to hear that you've had fun. Janemba was horrible. I was more lenient this time around as this set is actually quite good imo but if you want to see me go ballistic then just check out my old videos about the state of green (back when green was unplayable) xD

    What if you charge with a multicolor card

    • @TheLookoutDBS
      @TheLookoutDBS  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Multicolored cards have a skill called energy-exhaust. It means that, when you charge them, they are charged in Rest Mode. However, some multicolored cards, like Zamasu, The Eliminator, have a permanent which lets them ignore this skill so they can enter energy in active mode. :)
