I seriously enjoy listening to how the pencil sounds on that paper; I listen to it while I work and it's really relaxing especially for my stressful job, lol.

Don't compare yourself to others. The only thing you need to surpass is yourself. 3. Have fun (obvi.). Draw whatever you want. If you're having fun, then it's working.
Ye heres some advice from me if you think your art is horrible your dwelling on the fact its bad to much dont listen to when things get to your head keep going keep trying new styles and maybe add parts of other peoples styles onto yours until you slowly develop your own style special to yourself
I dont use any fixative! For the sketch I am working on, I will keep a paper under my hand and make sure that I am not dragging it when moving! Lifting it up and moving it works best! For the sketches after they are finished, I just try not to move them around too much!
