Thank you so much!! Can you do more on how to paint with ink and lettering with your favorite brush? I got the supplies from the other video, so am all ready! I so love the smoothness and contrast. It is really exciting! I am trying to think how to mix with watercolor. Like outlining and adding letters and leaves and flowers or balloons on top of a watercolor background. Have you done that?

Gorgeous! Thank you for your cleat demonstration on this informative creative process. Would this method work if mounted onto a glass jar? Thank you again.

Starch-based adhesives can be used for some temporary, reversible applications on glass like labeling wine bottles or jars. For applications that need to be permanent, a different adhesive should be used. Hope this helps!

@@Blick_Art I appreciate your reply. I think I will experiment with perhaps some kind of more permanent varnish over the nori pasted rice paper on glsss!

can i use this method for watercolor paintings on rice paper, or will the diluted nori paste reactivate the watercolor and cause bleeding?

It's better to mount the paper in advance of painting. While you might be able to mount a finished painting, any time a water-borne adhesive is used with soluble paints, there's a chance of re-wetting.
