The Shimazaki fight is one of the best fights in whole anime when it comes to choreography, the way it's so fluid and it shows the amazing teamplay against an OP enemy
Shimazaki is the first character I personally have seen to effectively show how op the teleportation ability truly is. MARVEL and DC failed at this with other characters imo.
i really like Shimazaki's teleportation not having a sound effect as you said. they do that with DIO's instantaneous movement via The World in the original adaptation of Stardust Crusaders and it's pretty cool.
Shimazaki Vs Scar & Teru is simply out of this world. Itsuki Tsuchigami & Yoshimichi Kameda done a fantastic job as storyboard & animation director of this episode. But the most mind boogling scene is definitely the first part of the fight up until Shimazaki standing on Sakurai back. In 30 seconds, Nakaya Onsen animate almost all thing you can expect in good anime fight. From big explosion, falling debris, lightning effect, moving the frame, stylized line work etc. It probably among my favorite animated cut of all time. It just that good. One of the animator that i truly hope come back on S3.
Absolutely one of the best anime fight scenes of all time. One of the few scenes in general that showcases how powerful and almosr unbeatable teleportation actually should be in a fight. Instant classic the moment it came out!
it's not always about money, or budget it's about having a great schedule + a great team, if you don't have capable animators this wasn't possible at all, capable of doing that insane stuff, especially the mogami part all do their parts this is one of the best animated episode I ever watched honestly Ok I didn't listen to the final part of the video, ok I think you got the point yeah It's that amazing btw , this is probably the ep with more sakuga, but the next 2 episodes are gonna be crazy good too
You're right that you can't just throw money at an animation studio and produce high quality anime, but you also can't have quality animation like this without giving your animators time, and time requires budget. Even getting quality animators, requires budget. Because you're basically buying their time. Even if they're fans of the material themselves, quality animators aren't going to undervalue themselves. In the end everything DOES come back to money and how much the animation committee (the ones who pick the studio and the budget) want to devote to the project.
You are absolutely right. I think Chief Animation Director of OPM S1 Chikashi Kubota once said in twitter that people who thought that OPM S1 have amazing budget is wrong because their budget is as same as other anime produce that season. Statement he also put emphasis in his convention interview with Shingo Natsume in 2016. The connection of Director, Chief Animation Director, and Animation Producer is as important as the budget in attracting talent. I mean Kubota join OPM production because he enjoy working with Natsume in Space Dandy. Its maybe surprising for some to found out that some people just join the team because they liked working with the director in the past or animate a scene because they want to work with a specific senior animator they respect. I don't say budget do not matter because it may give studio more room to outsource to other studio or hire more staff. But considering everybody in industry kinda complain about the lack of people that able to meet increasing demand for new anime, i think great schedule and team management would play more role in current situation. I actually want to talk about this long time ago but kinda hard to find perfect angle because how complicated this topic is. The only solution is just to say that various factor play in making good animation. Budget is one of them but not the single determining factor.
They did this quality not because they have money, but because they have time. That's why the season 3 is coming after almost 4 years, that's why demon slayer has terrible CGI sometimes while here is everything perfect, the quality of the staff, the love for the show and the time makes this show top quality That's for those in the comments who might think money makes good animation
The staff for mob just loves the series so much. They have alot of passion and news was for mob psycho season 3, they finished the whole season months early prior to its release this fall which is phenomenal news!
@@Wispy2543 no no it had bad cgi... Overall the show has really good animation with some episodes with insane sakuga, but here in mob psycho it's all too good. The staff keeps creating new stuff, playing with their creativity. Demon slayer is a "what happens if we take something normal to the next level" and this applies only for the animation cuz we all know that the writing is still the same level as before

watch A Certain Series...Expecially Scientific Railgun to see a teleporter in action

This was one of the best fight scenes in all media honestly
They really capture the desperation that everyone else is feeling as they fight shimizaki, and then the thrill when they finally get one up on him.
Mob has the greatest animation and it's disgustingly underappreciated

It helps that Bones has an entire contact list of some of the best animators, storyboard artists and directors in the industry.
