there actually used to be a modded item that you could take without bring ejected from Death Certificate! it was Clear Case, whose entire on-pickup-make-this-a-pocket-active override also somehow overwrote the Death Certificate ejection. it then allowed you to pocket *another* active item without getting ejected afterwards, under the same principle. anyway, this meant my favorite combo was grabbing clear case, teleport 2.0, and dad's battery from one certificate and unlocking the power of Error Room Gaming

could have used edens soul in the ultra secret room and gotten 2 red items like brim or pentagram or a bunch of other good items But secret room does have a good pool too so it doesnt really matter that much.

So a good thing thing to note about ultra secret rooms is that they cannot spawn in the four directions around secret, and ultra secret rooms (and I think boss rooms but I am not sure). And all ultra have 4 red rooms around it.
Edit: Also I wonder if the red bombs from grimaces also opened red rooms because going to the mines could have been super useful.

QotD: I always tear modifiers so those are usually what I bee line for in death cert. So like dr fetus, spirit sword, etc and all the modded ones. Though I also tend to prioritize tainted treasure room items, trinket items, and bomb items. Especially that tainted treasure room item which causes enemies to explode (or the tainted sad bombs variant (I wonder what happens if you get both in the same run)
