Scorched Earth Operations are a military tactic that is used as a final resort. It literally means burn and destroy anything useful, so that the enemy cannot take it. Burning crops, buildings vehicles, everything. In Firefly's case it means destroying the entire planet.

The planet was done for, and their fighting was meaningless since Glammoth, their empire, had already fallen by the swarm, they only keeped fighting because they were brainwashed to believe in their fake empress Titania, clones made only to fight and with short livespans, Firefly probably got the blessing of an Aeon, probably Nanook the destruction (Nanook destroyed his own planet when he awoke to Aeonhood), maybe even Yaoshi since she survided the nuke.

Actually Genshin recently made a team for animated shorts, their first one was Arlechino's and the second one was the one with the MC siblings and Aimer singing.
I wouldn't care about the "Genshin Could Never" jokes if they were at least accurate when using them...
Now I do think that Honkai Star Rail's animations do look better, but they also make character demos for 4 stars, which Star Rail doesn't do for some reason, so I guess they just have different priorities for their promotional budgets.

What do you mean genshin could not make good animations? The last 2 were bangers, go watch: "The Song Burning in the Embers" and "The Road Not Taken".

"The Road Not Taken" good. The Song Burning in the Embers also good but have animation issues. It's especially seen in fight scene.

i think he means that genshin doesnt make such "brutal" shorts. Well, its obvious because genshin is a game for children (no ill intent, just a fact)

@@yankozyrenko9348 The Song Burning in the Embers is pretty adult. it may not be as brutal as this, but it didn't shy away from tragedy and bloodshed.
And ingame, genshin has been progressively getting more and more dark.
On a more personal note, i don't consider games for all ages to be games for children. (i generally reserve that for games clearly target at children, and gacha games are generaly not). This is not a diss at your comment, just a personal remark i wanted to put out.

@@mariuspuiu9555 i dint really play genshin after star rail was released, so i didnt know what they were uploading on youtube. I just checked this short, and i agree, it was indeed quite uncomfortable to watch. In this case, i like the tendency they are making towards more "adult" content.

@@yankozyrenko9348 Fontaine is indeed a tragic tale but a fun one at the same time. Mihoyo went all out on the main quest there.
