Same for me. Early in my walk, It was not wise to digest to much about darkness and spiritual forces. I cut my teeth on message simply about the Love of Jesus, the blood, and grace. As you progress in your walk you inevitably start experiencing the wrath of the powers of darkness and it helps to have some understanding of what is attacking your life. With the understanding that helps me feel as though God sees what I am facing I still fight the same way. I enter into worship and pray in the Spirit and all those devils run in terror. Amen
Though this is from 1988, he was spot on about Islam and witchcraft. Derek Prince was a blessed teacher of the word.

In 2020 we live through many things he is speaking about, and see them coming true!
Since this sermon was preached, witchcraft has grown tremendously and now we have courses in Satanism offered in colleges, and even some public schools are having shows and books about witches, Halloween, and other mystical events. Now there is Pokémon Go that has a following of many millions of youngsters, which can be turned into a form of witchcraft. Truly that last days is very close.
Not to mention all of the new movies and TV shows like Vampire Diaries that promote witchcraft.
And all the books, like the Harry Potter series that are focused straight at children, and to which these poor kids line up for book signings and readings. A healthy and well centred mind will not fall prey to the allure of these vampire/witchcraft books and movies, that is someone well grounded in the word, but it's highly seductive for someone who is not grounded. Sometimes even when they are.
Here it is 2019 and we have TV shows cam out last year called lucifer, of all things!! And supernatural!! Supernatural plays during the day, like before noon. You've got the walking dead, then all these games turned into movie productions, deadpool and such!! It's all around and we've got more and more college students committing suicide, feeling like they are not valued and thought of. Parents given over to their lusts and addictions, whatever they want. The enemy is really enjoying puppeteering it all
Not to mention now in 2022 there are "after school Satan clubs".

This is one of the most profound teachings with biblical and scriptural basis. Most ministries I've heard or read are just touching on the periphery or just focusing at tip of the ice berg, mostly on the physical or earthly dealings (realm or plain). Derek Prince gets to the bottom of it. He explains thoroughly and gets into the root or cause of all our problems and identifies the real enemy that we are facing today. George Payne did a Pastor Derek Prince (has done exorcisms) 'Spiritual Warfare on Earth', the Pastor had cancer and it was cured from an exorcism from another Preacher! Pigs in a parlor is good by ida Mae and Frank Hammond. How to try a spirit by Mary is good. Knowledge is not power to get free and stay free. Many doors must be closed, toxic tied to people broken, habits broken, deliverance is " sanctification'( ongoing cleansing and purification. God helps miraculously but you must do the work( study and let Him process you thru it... You have to die to self life and crucify the flesh daily, learn the ways of God then walk in them empowered by God's Holy Spirit.. hope this helps. Derek was tormented. He made a point early on about the fact that the Jews were full of the Antichrist spirit and refused to believe Jesus was the Messiah and instead had him crucified and we must not make the same mistake when the Anti-christ is upon us. I'd just like to point out that it was not a mistake with Jesus for the Lord had already written this to happen and without the crucifixion we would all go to hell. God's power is infinitely more powerful then Satan's and everything Satan does and plans is already foreseen and made permissible through his sovereign authority.
When did Derek originally teach this lesson?
He looks to be in his 60's here, and he died in at age 88 (1915-2003), so probably 80's if my math is right. I'd double check, since I'm a bit cloudy right now.

Its also good to read the Present with Religion, a book available for free on the internet.The book is about the truth of life and it shows the full picture of life for fhe first time so that you may stop being deceived by the world and be able to follow the steps of Jesus and other prophets to Heaven.Knowing the whole truth of life is the key factor in our salvation.We must know the real truth, all of it and live in it and change ourselves according to it in order to be saved.There is no other way to our salvation.With the knowledge of the truth there comes true repentance which means changing our minds and also true obediance to God' s law and finally our sanctification which is a lifelong process.And God in His mercy will give us His wonderful grace which is the time and ability to make the proper change.Only in this way will we be able to attain our eternal salvation.Our task is to find this narrow gate that leads to God and do it quickly and stay on it till the end no matter what.Then and only then we will be saved.There is nothing more important or serious to do in this fallen world as our eternal fate depends on it.

The word Islam means Submission
I believe that the Hebrew Roots movement is the beginning of the end of Christianity as we know it. It is legalistic and has a spirit of pride at it roots (pun intended) which is the basis of all false doctrine.
I'd say that Judaisers are certainly a problem - but also that I've come across many gentiles whose interpretations of scripture show zero understanding of Judaism: many think rabbis are authentic souces for understanding (which is wrong); many think that God has abandoned Israel (wrong); many fail to recognise that there is a difference between righteousness by works and righteousness by grace through faith but evidenced by works (faith without works is dead); many understate or completely dismiss the value of understanding the original texts of the Bible and their cultural context.
I frequently come across Hebrew roots sorts whose teachings are wrong in every way but likewise those who deny that the essential Jewish character of Christianity miss out on a great deal of nuance.
In summary: If you're not Jewish, don't pretend to be, but still seek to understand the Bible and ask God for guidance in this (not men).
@mel Locks I guess it would be OK if you were a very mature SPIRITUAL Christian and the intent was academic in nature. If that's not the case you could easily be led astray especially if you are learning from men and not the Holy Spirit. H Roots is rooted (pun intended) in earthly Jerusalem/Israel not the heavenly city from above. Meaning it's carnal not spiritual. The LORD GOD bless you.

You know what would help the world? If "God " actually started answering some of our prayers down here, instead of just leaving us to the slaughter. If God answered at least 10% of the prayers of good people, thus world would be so much of a better place.. but.. God seems to enjoy seeing all the unnecessary suffering
IF just ten percent of Christians prayed diligently, then this evil would not be happening!! I certainly don’t blame God I blame pastors who don’t pray or preach against wickedness!

God answers the prayers of the righteous. You are righteous by the sacrifice of Jesus and by doing God's will. You know what God's will is by renewing your mind like it says in Roman's 12:2. You can renew your mind by reading God's word, meditating on it and praying everyday.
How many people in this world have made a commitment to diligently doing all the above? Not many. The world is the way it is because of fallen man and their sin. Not God. The world tells you it's all God's fault because the ruler of this world wants you to be angry and have enmity towards God, and therefore a broken and unfruitful relationship with him.
If you would like things to change then the first step is Jesus, then follow everything else I stated in the first paragraph.
Derek Prince is wonderful and anointed. Very enjoyable and powerful teacher! But without full and total Biblical revelation like most of the rest of us, including Paul.
Pastor Prince is by far not an expert on the Law and Judaism as he says openly on this recording.
Jews are seperate and apart from the rest of humanity...we are not included among the other nations.
Jews keep the Law because we are a chosen people and redeemed and NOT to become righteous, redeemed or chosen.
Our choseness is by Grace and a promise to Abraham...it cannot be achieved by the 613 commandments. We keep the Law because we are saved and NOT to become saved...no rabbi would teach otherwise! Otherwise is a narrow, confused doctrine of Christians...and the spirit of the Antichist to promote spiritual Jewish hatred.
Deuteronomy tells us we are given the Commandments because of what God has done for us by his love, mercy and compassion as his chosen people redeemed out of Egypt and then elevated by Him at Mount Sinai.
Pastor Prince is correct when he asserts he does not know a lot about Judaism...it shows unfortunately in this teaching.
Further, Psalm 119 glorifies the Law of Moses. David says that the "Law of the Lord is my delight...and His Laws are not burdensome." It is the longest chapter in the Bible and does nothing but praise and adore the Law as holy, sweet and delightful.
The Word (the Torah) is our daily bread...It heals, cleanses and edifies...Psalm one says the Law is a tree planted by living water!!!
The Law must be kept because of our Jewish righteousness by promise and grace; and is not the cause, nor ever reason to obtain any righteousness.
Deuteronomy warns Israel to not depart from the Law and to not go to the left nor to the right of it...and if you remain faithful to it you will be blessed in your coming and your going and no curse nor destruction will fall upon you.
One can sustain righteousness by keeping the Law which is by grace... all the prophets were righteous and so was Moses--he was the friend of God and spoke face to face with God.
The Gospels attest that Mary and Joseph were righteous and just upkeepers of the Law.
God sends His Word and heals us...Paul is a confused person and his letters are not equal to Torah, the Prophets and the Psalms!

The truth in the Bible requires understanding only by a spirit filled born again child of God. A person that is not committed his life to Jesus can never get TRUE revelation in his word the Bible. You my friend can only know what you are told by others send therefore you can't really know the truth for yourself. First get born again and the spirit of truth will give you the revelations that are hid to those that are lost.
