I must report here that I am very much satisfied so far with this court.
In the same spirit, being an Azimio diehard, I will 100% oblige with the whatever decision that the court will make. If Ruto's win is upheld I will support it same way should it be nullified I will still be contented.

If there is issue, the frames of our constitution and as is the practice world wide, sought to create court to address those issues. Otherwise, our only means of resolving issues is war. We needed to accept the decision of the court whether for Ruto or Raila.
Am glad Maraga set the bar for the current intimacy between the judges at the supreme court and justice. Whatever the outcome, I will respect and embrace their findings.

I'm quite impressed. All judges have asked very direct and relevant questions, for clarity. I must admit, I had concerns about 2 or three, but they have proved me wrong. Good job, judges!
And by saying they are taking every request for relief seriously, Justice Ibrahim is warning them that they had better been serious with each of their 23 applications.
I don't really care who wins. Everyone says they want the truth. And these judges look like they are on track to unearth it. But word of caution: Truth is THE truth. It may turn out to be not the 'truth' some people may be looking for. And people will be disappointed at the truth.

The physical copies were affected because Chebukati printed 2 sets of form 34A. We therefore have 2 different sets with different results. Only one set was to be used but due to corruption the other was used. The form used at the centre was supposed to be loaded to the portal as an image because it's coming directly from a form. If it's PDF, it means that someone else downloaded it and made changes which may match with the second set

Even if there were two 34As, Azimio's agents must have gotten a copy of the original. HIYO, ndio walete, na waonyeshe it is the legitimate original; and that its numbers are different from what was read.
Punching holes in what was read alone doesn't cut it. You have your own numbers to prove that you won. Your originals, to prove this, is what is needed.
The Judges have done well to ask the tough questions and I strongly believe they will bring out the best from the lawyers

The contemplative questions around issuing an order to send Chebukati home indicates that they are getting persuaded to the point that the electoral process was irredeemably flawed. As Maraga court stated in its historic ruling, " If the process isn't right, then the outcomes can't be right".
Wow. I just love how that everything happening in Court is televised. Gives the public to have a glimpse into the competences of lawyers and judges regarding the issues before the Court. Kudos to the Republic of KENYA and its Justice System

The Kiems kit worked well and Azimio knew they lost the election on the election night. Who remembers the first tweet from Martha Karua, then Azimio team lead by Charity Ngilu to Bomus then Rafuel Tuju, the unnecessary disruption of verification process at Bomus and the the chief of staff calling the IEBC chairman to ask him to meet with Tuju, three senior three stars offices and former attorney general and suddenly the four commissioners at the Serena hotel with no information whatsoever till they find out what to say the following day.
As a country we do not have to let a few people abuse our democratic institutions that have stood difficult time trying to be better every day to serve us all. Azimio could not even hold their own party nominations in order, yet and institution that has come this far in ensuring the will of people is secure and respect has to be taken through this drama. Former Chairperson of IEBC, said Raila will never concede or accept defeat without knowing what is there for him. Will his charm work this time?
This azimio people first they should know that Uhuru now has no power Tu appoint any commissioner and if cherer is given the job she can't announce the the president elect since the chair commissioner must be a lawyer and she is not so this is what we called constitution crisis which has never happened in this country

Simple questions it may seem that the judges are asking, but those lawyers are sweating profusely. Like caged animals they are trapped and some of the petitions are hanging precariously on a precipice. If the judges questions are not answered satisfactorily, the petitions will fall like dominoes.
Those are easy questions to answer. And even the judges have the answers to most if not all of them. They are asking the questions to clarify on how they might write their judgements. For instance the question of "In the event that a prayer to order for firing of Chebukati were to be granted, how will the constitutional framework outlining how holders of constitutional offices be accommodated? It means they are persuaded to agree with the petitioners that Chebukati is unfit to hold public office, but how can throwing him out be implemented?

Have you read them? For the judges to contemplate giving an order declaring Chebukati unfit to hold office, and only getting held back, firstly by constitutional processes in required in discharging holders of constitutional offices, and secondly, seeking clarification from the advocates whose prayers included sending Chebukati home on how the Commission can operate without a Chairman is a loud signal that the electoral process under Chebukati was rotten beyond redemption. Bear this in mind.
Azimio should accept defeat. Period. This petition has already been dismissed

Bright students love a good debate coz iron sharpens iron. The 7 Judges' questions are for both petitioners and responders to mull over, bin the fiction and bring all the animals in the zoo to the room, not just the elephant. If Raila's team is smart, they would thank the judges coz they have time to surprise Kenya with facts. If Ruto's team is awake, they will take the cue and sort their paperwork before taking the microphone. Time is not money, time is rest for these ears that have to listen to a luo man singing a street old-wives song to distract them from the points he has lost in a comedy club. The last petition by the same petitioner, the supreme court heard the prayers and nullified that election, which severed their relation with the executive under President Uhuru, then the petitioner boycotted the election after his demands failed to materialized , knowing the time was very limited to start restructuring the IEBC COMMISSION.
The Court wouldn't risk another nullification even if there were discrepancies which in this case they were none and risk another constitutional crisis.

yes, those judges have debunked the case. Also those are important questions that help determine the validity of the queries and demands. Also i dont see how they will be able to answer some of those questions both logically and constitutionally. But let's wait and see
Exactly! And some small brained characters think that the questions were asked to block/complicate the case. Judges have the arduous task of writing their judgements. And often they write separate judgements if there is no unanimity. They are asking questions to help them clarify how they will write the judgements. It is an excellent approach to judging a petition. Almost consultative!
We should incorporate digital voting. It may make it cheaper. Imagine if we go through 5 reruns like Israel.

You know nothing. Shut up. What they are seeking is clarification to guide in writing the judgement, because they must comment on points raised in their judgement, regardless of which way it goes. For instance one of the judges has asked if voter suppression affects only a presidential candidate and not the other seats. Voter suppression affects different seats differently. An MCA might not be affected by voter suppression within his ward because a ward has a higher degree of homogeneity. It will however affect a Presidential candidate adversely if that ward is one of his stronghold. The judges need that clarification to come from the advocates, so that they take ownership. Asking questions does not mean non-concurrence!
