Great watch Dave. Pointless fact, I dug the very first MTB trails at Mt Stromlo with 2 mates back in 1988 when we first got our MTB’s. We had BMX Trails right where the MTB ones are now, used to be insanely thick pine and gumtree forest back then.. Lived there my whole life and miss the MTB Community down there.. Not too long after that Mic & Michelle Longhurst from Dynamic Motivation got into the scene as well and rode here with us.. Who’d have thought they be doing this almost 35yrs later..
I can let you know who did the 3rd person camera work if you like 😉 … the next race is late September so I think we will be down there in the weeks leading up to it
Looked a bit cold mate, saw the beanie at the start gave it away. That’s some beautiful green trails and I’ve seen that rock section a few time on other videos ( about third way through vid) and it’s gnarly . Craney hit a roo once , both lucky 😁 love this vid mate
Yes my Dad was born near Pontypool I was born in Oldham near Manchester I played a lot of football to Mt Druitt Town or letherbridge rangers as it was called
@@garethwilliams4995 Right .... My Dad was born in Saundersfoot (Near Tenby - Pembrokshire) & Mum moved there when she was 5 from Birmingham. I was born a few years after they came to Australia. I've refereed at Mt Druitt Town many times
Hi Dave, My Son and I love your vids mate. Just out of curiosity and because I keep spraining wrists even in soft stacks, I was wondering what wrist guards you use? Do they interfere with your bars/controls? Have been checking out TLD ones, but yours look the goods. Keep it up!
Thanks AJ, I use triple8 2 slides …. Have been using them since late 2019 after fracturing my right wrist. They are essentially skate wrist guards and I find they lock me into the bars. I’ve had 1 otb that most probably would have been a re fracture. They are less than $50 delivered. Can’t recommend them enough. Thanks for the support
Some of the tables are slightly bigger but from memory the gaps are no bigger than barrel & possibly a better run into them than barrel .... tbh I've only ridden barrel one time and the conditions were a bit wet so I assume in dryer conditions barrel would be great
Rough choice is but trebuchet won’t be as they used it earlier this year … I have a video of last years race if you go back through them and I think that they will use those ones
Trebuchet is my favourite trail at stromlo. I love it
Yeah it's right up there for sure 🤘
I love it as well Luke…. It’s so awesome 🤘🏻🔥

Thanks Mick …. Yeah I think it was under 5 when we started riding. Craney hit a Roo on his bike? Wow
@@DMMTB yeah he’s got some pics somewhere I’ll track down . The rebound knob on bottom of fork was covered in roo hair and blood . Put the wind up him

How big are trebuchet jumps compared to barrel at mt Keira

Is this the trails for the next superflow at stromlo?

What rubber and psi are you running?
It was my 1st time on Michelin rubber ... Front Wild Enduro 2.4's 22psi .... back Force AM 2.6's 26psi but will change the back to Wild Enduro
@@DMMTB so I take it, you like the wild enduros? Great rubber👌🏼
@@Jbjmtb yes I do although I didn’t have it on at Stromlo but changed it straight after ready to race last weekend
