They take daily things thats offensive in society Then take it to the extremes it Aussie humour Even with ourselves and why we're alway giving it to each other Most people say when meeting Aussie's so quick witted Thats because its normal everyday thing for us Even in tragedy they will be making jokes amongst ourselves We use humour copping as stress relief and its never personal Cheers guys 🦘🇦🇺👍
Superwog are awesome comedians who just want people to forget anything else you may have going on and just have a laugh. I'm proud as hell they represent us with great comedy skits, we all need to laugh and enjoy comedy for what it really is......comedy 💯
They are: *brothers Theodore and Nathan Saidden. The brothers were born in Sydney to a Greek-Egyptian mother and Egyptian father. *Wikipedia Wog is a derogative name for Europeans. BTW - My mother is Italian and wog is often used by ourselves and friends as a joke name! Many Aussies my age (late 60's) aren't offended by comedy.
Wog wasn't originally a derogatory term, it stood for West Oriental Gentleman. From my own experience, my family moved to Australia from Germany back in the 70s and people would sometimes call us Nazi's and jokingly give us the salute. lol. At first my parents were shocked by that, but most of us kids knew they were just mucking around, and everyone made fun of everyone else for something.
@MargaretGuppy any word can become derogatory, depending on how its used. Aussies are well versed in the art of overstepping over the line and leaving the recipient confused... "are they just taking the piss?" LOL leave em bamboozled, they will catch on. Then a day comes when the "wogs" started playing our game and gave out as good as they got and what fun it was.
Best thing of being Aussie is our ability to laugh at ourselves and take American First amendment to a whole different level. Basically we have a great relaxed lifestyle not all the stress of living like in USA and call a spade a spade and enjoy a good laugh whenever we can...plus love and protect all our amazing wildlife within our lifestyle...So laugh at us and cringe at our language but we dont care what the world thinks....they are just jealous ..proud to be Aussie oui oui oui
You just have to learn to laugh at life. Aussies make fun of themselves as well as others. It's called comedy. Nothing happens if you are offended. You're just offended. Get over it and laugh.
There is a generation happening in Australia that is easily offended, the rest of us just continue to laugh. Aussies hate cancel culture, woke culture, vegan culture and anything that stops us from having a laugh. Noone should be so sensitive that they cant laugh at themselves, workplace, religion, culture. Australia will fight to keep that alive.
Keep in mind Australia doesn't have the same cultural history as the USA and other countries where the slave trade happened...so any people in Australia with African ancestry were migrants just like any other nationality...there were never the same stigmas involved here. As well we are not ignorant, we understand in slave trade countries the words and connotations that are taboo...but also remember those things are more prevalent in those countries and not so much in Australia.
Guys, the comedy you just watched is what comedy once was before cancel culture and cancel culture has only been around a short while. you guys are too young to know what older comedy was once like. EVERYONE got hit, race, ethnicity, culture, social class, you name it. You have to realise that back then no one got offended, everyone laughed and loved comedy and we were not hurt by words, until the word police started....
These guys are doing all of this tongue in cheek. The man who is a vegan, the asian man, and so on know that they are not being offended or laughed at - they are part of the show. This skit is really about saying or acting of the ridiculous lengths 'political correctness' has come too, as we Aussies do, making fun of it is our way of saying it is all becoming too much.
There is a difference between actual hate speech /actual discrimination, and jokes/taking the piss. Australian comedians and audiences trust each other to know the difference. And to not Dog Whistle. And to not Punch Down. Part of that is a history in the late 20th C of minorities being given platforms on mainstream media to present their own comedy in which they affectionately yet mercilessly flay their own culture. Jokes that no other group could make about them. But we all get to join in and laugh at the stereotypes. And left wing, progressive comedians would mercilessly joke about their own insufferable, well meaning, but mostly ineffectual and over conscious compatriots. There’s a lot of community good will/trust built up that comedic teasing isn’t actually, really, maliciously meant.
Australians traditionally love sending themselvess up and they covered all waks of life. Many migrants started a popular comedy trend making fun of themselves and we now have many cultures who have picked up on this humour and it is not deemed rude. However, the woke culture is focused on ruining it for everyone Recently a comedian kicked out a nursing mother not knowing she was nursing,it was purely the baby noise affecting everyones experience On the news the next day it got distorted and blown out of proportion Thankfully,it was sorted out before more ppl got angry for no reason
Absolutely hilarious. Comedy that us Aussies were use to before Gen Z came along. Only thing that bothered me a little was the skit about DV. Too many women have died due to DV because the police have been too slow react and take action. There is a currently an epidemic of DV affecting Australian women and men that needs to be stopped. People are suffering and people are dying. This is no laughing matter.

No, cops here don't actually behave this way.
But I bet they wish they could.

Australia had white slaves arrive in 1788 and for another 70 years. I'm a triggered snowflake now and need compen$ation for my white heritage.

In Australia we don't give a F**k about political correctness. 🙂
If you can't take a joke then you're not an Aussie.
