Brilliant writing. Excellent execution. Superb gut from the entire ensemble playing and listening together. I love these kids. You all need to know that your music book & your individual & ensemble performance was extraordinarily musical and very artful. Nice job.
i'm really curious what's with the trend of clear stick tape as opposed to traditionally white, doesn't white have maximum visual contrast on the field? particularly against darker unis. the tiniest of nitpicks really but as someone with OCD i've always had to question this lol
Clear stick tape is usually a lot lighter than white stick tape and is often used to affect the balance and tone of a particular stick weight less than that of white
@@natalo78 that makes a whole lot of sense, thanks for explaining. lighter but also thinner? if the goal was to protect sticks from being eaten by rims too fast would a color stick tape be the better choice then? say for a lower budget HS group. obviously with groups sponsored by stick companies they wouldn't have to worry about going through sticks
You're welcome :) I can't speak to coloured tape but I think in general this is a very fine detail kind of thing and if the goal is saving sticks then you're definitely better off going with white and teaching the kids good rim shot technique.
I see they have a cell phone plugged into the megavox? What is a good way to hardwire an iPhone to one? I love tonal energy but I could do without the bluetooth lag if there is a cheap and easy way to connect a lighting cable to a magavox. I''m assuming just a stereo input with an adapter
I suppose you could just use an adapter of some sort if you want to continue using a phone but the one that should be used anyway is a Dr. Beat which is all hardwire
@@nathanielabadilla7029 well, "should be used" is debatable because tonal energy is much more programable for tempos changes, accels, decels, etc than Dr. Beat ever could do. Plus its one less device to carry around and it has the Dr Beat sounds. Its a first world problem for me but I just get irritated trying to time a tempo change when I'm running battery warmups w/ my high school group without stopping and starting each time.
@@gmiller598 oh I see the concern. You could just program all of that on there as well. I’ll be honest I don’t know how but ive had my instructors in the past have to program tempo changes. I’m pretty sure you could program accels too but if I’m not wrong you’d have to program multiple tempo changes mathematically in order to do that, there is no program for a natural accel unfortunately. Y’all can correct me if I’m wrong, but I’ve just never seen it. Either that, or you just have the instructor dial the tempo smoothly as possible for those accels or decels
@@nathanielabadilla7029 as a band, we program all of our drill sets into a program for Tonal Energy and have a backfield DM run it from an iPad through a speaker system for full band rehearsals. Want to run set 6-10 in ensemble with an 8 count count off? TE can do that for you easily from a single program that won't get deleted when the battery dies. It is super easy to do and I've never used a metronome that was this easy to do programs. You should give it a try. the bluetooth range and delay is the only minor negative. It also has a tuner built in and only cost a tiny fraction of what a Dr. Beat costs.
Lightning to 3.5mm adapter attached to a 3.5mm to 1/4in audio cable is what I used. If you can’t find that cable then 3.5mm cable with a 3.5mm to 1/4in adapter. I use tonal energy as well. The ability to have a playlist of your entire show or warm ups and be able to start from anywhere is invaluable.

thank you so much for capturing our final lot, the quality is unmatched!

It’s amazing how lifelike action figures are getting these days.
i like their snare tuning. book sounds nice too, although i haven’t seen it on the field
I thought Casey Brohard aged out years ago
same :)

"M. F. ... B. K." indeed!
That snare player literally looks like theyre in their 60s
you leave danny alone

If they are the blue knights, why they in purple?
I ask this question about the Lakers all the time. Their official colors are “forum blue and gold”
do they have a young drum staff? it's not bad, but the writing sounds immature
The guy that wrote there book judged percussion at Finals (Jeff Ausdemore), so maybe it a you issue.
