Personally i have never really liked Mari or really disliked her. Just always felt her energy was a bit sporadic at times and childlike. She probably has deep insecurities about her self worth, probably raised by at least one abusive parent and suffered greatly as a child. Now she uses her attractiveness to compensate for her lack of self-esteem, just to have enough confidence to be able to face the world. In my experience that's why some girls are incredibly sensitive about their looks/body, they feel like deep down they have nothing else.

My ex BF definitely had body dysmorphia and he would get irritated at me being confident in how I looked because he wasn’t. He was very sensitive about being skinny and was his biggest hater. Would get hostile after being at the gym for hours a week and not seeing progress that he felt should have been visible after five days. Would end up saying the things he thought about himself to me so I’d feel the way he does. I had to cut him off because I started getting a eating disorder because of HIM. Its definitely a mental thing that usually comes from abuse of some sort. It’s good that both parties in this situation have no contact becaue that’s probably what she needs in order to work on her mental health, and Rage just needs to know that it was NOT specifically HIM that triggered her.
