I don't usually watch Documentaries, but I have seen a few. This is the best Documentary that I have ever seen. Interesting, fun, serious, funny, inspiring, sad, tough, etc. Very well put together too.
There was a lot of discussion about Maju when this episode came out. Maju strategically volunteered to pull herself out of the lowest tier group (Chisa, Juria, Maya) in hopes to get picked up by a higher tier group. And it didnt happen unfortunately. In a way abandoning them from a certain point of view. Smart though for a kid her age. I think Simon "may" have also looked negatively upon that attempt. He was really gauging the girls comradery and bond this entire series im addition to talent and drive. Always love your XG reactions Lapids! XG is so unique and special. There is no group like them.
I thought that might have been why after the fact. It’s unfortunate cuz she was in a group that didn’t perform as well & although it was a competition, I can totally see her pulling herself out of the group could be looked down upon. With her as the leader as the group the other members were probably looking up to her even with her being so young. Such a tough spot to be in 😩. Thank you for the support! 🫶🏻
Simon is not only evaluating the trainees' talents but their character as well under seemingly unreasonable conditions. He is also pushing the trainees not to be just accepting of bad evaluations and suffer quietly but provide feedback.

He's lighting a fire to their behind basically. (Yellow Group) He wants them to 'hunger' for it - more than they think they can. We need to look at it on SIMON's perspective too being a former IDOL himself and how 'savage' the IDOL world can be. Can't wait for your reaction on the third one. ☺

I don't think Hikaru will be joining XG because while they have a great relationship with her from their time training together. They don't need her even though she would be a great addition but also all the success they have gotten they have done it as 7. It could upset the dynamic if they were to add her. It also might be looked down upon and bring controversy (not that they haven't faced much of that already).
