- Season 5 of Expressions Espresso begins with Part 2 of the discussions with the legendary Padma Bhushan awardee, Sangita Kalanidhi Shri Madurai TN Seshagopalan.
This is an episode that came about on popular demand - in appreciation of Part 1 and in great anticipation of more anecdotes and experiences that would be shared by the legend.
Part 2 is another fulfilling session with so many instances of great interest and sharing by the great Vidwan...one can never tire of hearing his various experiences with maestros and pillars of the music industry.

I wish a documentary is made on the life and accomplishments of TNS for posterity. In fact we should document such epoch making legends. Your channel does its bit in this regard. In that sense your contribution is important.

Sudha, I am 83, hence take the liberty of calling you thus. I come from Madurai, Amma was a very close friend of Ambujam mami. I very vividly remember how, in my younger says, Sir was becoming a sensational musician, with Sadguru Sangeetha Samajam.. She was very happy that the tunes were set by him, very much to her liking. His sense of humour makes the interview thoroughly enjoyable!
Azhagia Azhaga is one of her most beautiful songs, set to an equally enjoyable tune by Sir. He is a man of immense talent, not withstanding

If one feels that he or she has reached great heights in music they should listen to Sirs Music and you feel humbled
Till date no Musician has scaled such levels in Carnatic Musician or has not shown up till now
There were good musicians and great musicians before Sir and they were good in some or the other areas of music
But He is the only one who has left no stone unturned in the various aspects of Carnatic music
And My goodness in Harmonium And Veena also he has done the same with ease
There are many kings in Carnatic Arena but only one Emperor
