I think you are right and partly because it has become difficult to have such attacks without out and out number 9. I think with Haaland there will be some changes in the formation. Yet, this guy looks very good with final passes. Good luck to him.
Cancelo plays wide a lot.. just the West Ham game they both were inverted
Without a natural number 9 , Pep didn't have a player who's instincts was to make the run . So full backs being wide was useless because who were they going to cross into ? Everyone was behind the play in midfield. Now that pep has Haaland who naturally makes the killer run into the space , he can play with wider full backs .

@@everythingfootballwithbeejay but Zinchenko is an inverted LB. similar to what Xhaka provides in defense....he could be Xhaka's alternative....on the other hand, Gomez overlaps, sprints, dribbles, crosses and most importantly assists. Imo it would be awesome if we get both, if not tho, I'd go for Gomez.
@@famifam5225 I think Arsenal would go for Zinchenko purely because of the Inverted LB role he plays and he can also cover as a proper LB if Tierney is out
