Keep it going. I'm at the same level as you. Mike Ben was my inspiration. Right off the bat, I totally can relate with being able to understand more by reading than hearing. I should be better being that I live with Spanish speakers but I go through spurts at a time of wanting to learn. Madrigal's book is pretty solid. I also feel that Spanish With Paul's free lesson is what accelerated me too. I've only done one italki lesson. I was very nervous as well. Ready to book my second.
Loved this! I'm also in a Spanish Speaking state (California) where I am able to practice my Spanish all the time with people from Mexico! I have been on italki for over a year and learning Spanish for almost 4yrs now. I have 4 amazing tutors from Mexico and it's so cool hearing all the same slang and words i hear in life in CA with my tutors. Oh & I think you wanted to say "I can read much better than I can hear" so you said "más mejor" and she corrected you to just say "mejor" which would just be "better" but if you still want an amplifier you can use "mucho mejor" just not "más" (I also learned that slowly & painfully via italki lessons lol)
After traveling, I definitely think that practicing with other speakers is the BEST way to learn. I will be doing more lessons like you soon! How confident do you feel in your Spanish now? Muchas gracias por la corrección!
Es una idea excelente escuchar y hablar lo antes posible. No lo hice suficiente en mis primer dos años y tenia que arreglarlo en el año pasado con bastante dolor! Lo sé que no es fácil cuando te sientes que tu vocabulario es bastante limitado pero vale la pena. Bien hecho! Éxito con tu progreso!

Your rolled R is good. Your pronunciation is good. Learners who spend time listening first before speaking tend to have a good pronunciation.
