You need to make you one of those longer deep well sockets. You'll wonder why you didn't do it years ago. I've got an 18 mm and a 24 mm I made for mine. I never change my feederhouse drum. I leave it up in the corn position for all crops.
Yeah, they seem to work with the crop mat instead of imposing their will against it... more gentle threshing and simpler to work on. BTW, I like watching your channel.
Yeah their simple to work on that’s what I like about them, I can switch between corn and bean settings in about 20 minutes. I’m surprised your TR don’t have belt speed settings on the feeder house and chopper.
Nice machine. My first time in a gleaner. My only complaint and not really a complaint was having to look back to see the unload auger. It was the same combine that was at the farm progress show.
Hi, i just bought a nice 92 R52..nearly identical to your 93, i noticed you said when setting your 72 up for corn you only run rotor speed in the upper 200's, do you get excessive cob breakage at that slow rpm, i have run mine that slow and it seems to overloaf the shoe with a ton of little broken cobs, i have my concave at 12 and everything is completely shelled off. Just looking for suggestions. Were in 20 percent corn about 225 bu. Thanks for any help.

Yeah I need to make some, yeah leaving it in beans let’s it ride up higher than in corn, I’ll probably switch back after corn I’ll see how it works
If we had more dealer support in this area, I would seriously consider a Gleaner if we were to swap combine brands. I love the simplicity of them.

That’s the thing I like about them their not hard to work on, but your right, agco is know for shutting down dealers.
Need a ladder or have to crawl on top of mine to change chopper speed
@@AgWildNebraska oh ok, yeah even the new S series gleaners are still basically like this, only bigger.
@@AgWildNebraska yep
I've heard gleaners are simple, but I only change rotor opening from corn to beans on my TR.

👍
Thanks for watching
When did they go to hyd drive spreader? Did super spreader perform like wanted?
I know on the mid to later r75s they hyd spreaders. Yeah my new spreader pan worked great 👍
I got to demo a s98 with a 40’ Draper in beans this year. How is your corn head working after your modification?
How did you like it? Haven’t tried it yet, was hoping to try some corn yesterday but we had rain.

Definitely the quietest cab I’ve ever been in
@@robertcheatham2891 oh ok, yeah we like ours they do a good job for us.
@@robertcheatham2891 yeah those new cabs are nice 👍
What would you replace R72 with? Another R series? S series?
I think an R76 would be neat, they didn’t make many of them.
