I have used Garmin all the time. Can you sync all activities etc here to Garmin Connect? Strava? Endomondo? I am now looking at Garmin Venu. Looks really nice, but totally different price and battery life.
What about the currentl situation between huawei and google. Is it easy enough to download the huawei app gallery in order to get the updated versions of the HMS and health apps? The watch itself seems pretty rad and way cheaper than the competition.
Can we reply to a message directly from watch? Can we connect watch to phone and Bluetooth earphones at the same time? What is the usable internal space available and what can it be used besides storing music?
You'd fail to mention how long the watch will last while streaking music to your Bluetooth headset. Sleep tracking thus wearing it at night will deplete the batter life. So I'm curious what is the battery life taking this on account ?
first of all wearing it while sleeping you dont have to activate anything it will just work automatic so it will not drain the battery and for the music it working for me very fine still staying with me up to 2 weeks
Are you sure you can answer calls when far from your phone? I have this watch and love it, but the bluetooth disconnects when im about 10 metres away from my phone.

Im curious ... does this watch base its caloric burn rate off HR during a workout and also through the day? I noticed some trackers/watches simply just base the caloric burn rate off the Type of activity selected using some static algo for that Type of activity ... and on my garmin VA3 at least, I know w/o a doubt it bases its caloric burn rate off HR(and maybe on other things as well). I wont consider any other type of wearable unless it bases the calories burned on HR at minimum. I have the samsung gear sport as a comparison to my garmin VA3 and ... the gear sport definitely only calculates calories burned based on what type of Activity you select for a workout, its ridiculous. Another question, is the battery life you state w/ screen always on?? if so thats freaking insanely awesome!

Thanks for the info Linus. I'm here in the US and I use a Huawei Mate 20X. I Bought a Garmin Vivoactive3 but returned it due to the battery drain is so rapid even with the key functions turned off. I had to go back to my 1st Gen Vivoactive for now. It pains me to jump ship to the GT2 after all the Garmin devices I purchased to sync with my watch. Garmin foot pod, chest HRM, bike speed and Cadence sensor. I just hope the exercise experience and performance is top-notch. That really matters to me. Since the GT2 is not sold here in the US I'll probably have to go through AliExpress or eBay but I want I totally black watch so I have to check and see if they have that model available once again thanks a lot for your review. Yeah I decided to buy a Huawei GT2. It's not the ultimate smart watch but battery life is a pet peev. The work out options it has has more than I would use. I like it. Plus I like the 1.39 size display, add music, and receive calls on it. What I wish it could do is respond to SMS msg. and better active display watch faces.
I don't think the normal GT will get any of these features in the future. It has older hardware which won't work simular as the GT 2. You might get software updates and changes, but the hardware stays the same.
I have one big disadvantage: huawei does not support Strava. And here is yet another: gps track files are not available for download, so you cannot upload results to some other sport tracking environment.

It will show signs of wear pretty quickly if you use the watch for exercising. I work out at least 3 times aa week (humble brag).

This is a better watch. It's got a more advanced workout-tracking, more reliable heart rate sensor and more accurate GPS.
