Outfitting and how-to mine in an Anaconda for laser mining Painite in the Hyades Sector DB-X d1-112

Starting at Jameson memorial for ease of module access but you can use Inara to find a station with all you need to outfit easily enough, this video should show you what you need for an efficient miner that can hold it's own in an interdiction with a decent cargo hold of 260 tonnes and 8 collectors and 2 prospectors.

Like the complete legend i am i just went all the way out to the wrong hyades sector. took me 30 mins as i had to keep stopping for fuel.......fml

Inara and BDD are rarely accurate i find. Also remember you can only land on Larhe landing pads so you need to check that also.
Then you have pirates that will indict you mid flight.
I have found out the hard way that nothing is as it seems with mining. Still enjoy it though.

What utility mounts do you and how are your modules engineered? Is your build on EDSY?

I arrived in GCRV 1568 yesterday, did two prospecting runs, found one core painite in about an hour and a half and I don't do core mining any more. Not a single painite asteroid mined.. Am I doing something wrong? I think I'm going to jump to this system instead to see if I have more luck.

Laser mining is much more efficient IMHO as you don't have to wait around looking for cores and can prospect much quicker with an A grade prospector controller with 2 active limpets. Also getting your drop in point for the overlap on the 2 hotspots will give you better % rocks also.

I drop in an equal distance from both of the hotspots in the brightest section and seem to get good results

Hi yes its price was nerfed but you can still earn decent money if you like mining 😉

It's only 116ly's from SOL in a straight line 🙂 and there are plenty of fleet carriers around to buy limpets/restock/refuel/repair

I fill my hold with them as they are cheap enough to buy and you can abandon them bit by bit as you mine to free up cargo space
