I'm a lil bit annoyed on behalf of The Bad Batch. I know alot of us thought that Season 2 was full of "filler episodes" adventure of the week stuff that didn't necessarily relate to the overall story. BUT the emotional power of Tech's sacrifice at the end of Season 2 hinged entirely on the emotional bond that Tech and Omega built during those so called filler episodes. You have to watch The Bad Batch consistently to see how those adventures of the week slowly build up Omegas competence so you can believe by Season 3 that she can escape an Imperial facility on her own because Tech trained her to read schematics for example. And sometimes the so called monster of the week comes back a season later as an important plot point. In short, the first half of Season 2 is much better in context of how it ends, particularly Omegas connection to tech, and it's much better in context of how it relates to Season 3, particularly Omegas growth as a soldier and the Empire's long term plans. I want people, especially critics I love and respect, to give The Bad Batch the respect it deserves but it won't happen if people aren't watching consistently and therefore can't see the connections.
Did the Malaysia airlines flight guy mention the fact that some of the world's top scientists were on board? It's apparently an undisputed but rarely publicised fact.

It will be a very difficult for the rey movie to turn things around. Firstly, the director has never made a live action feature film.,so that is a bad start. Secondly, I think the majority of the audiance did not really resinate with Rey in the Sequel Trilogy or were invested in her story (the box office drop offs proove this). The audince went to see Episodes 7-9 mostly for the Han Luke and Leia (again, the box office dropped each time one was killed off!) . So it is hard to say if they will show up for a new Star Wars movie without them and just Rey..

Force Awakens was incredible and made me a big star wars fan
I will love Star Wars until death. I prefer the actual movies to the Disney Plus stuff. That said, Andor was brilliant. I love Daisy Ridley. I’ve never met her but my mum was once her teacher. I look forward to the new Rey Skywalker films for more than I do the upcoming Mandalorian movie.
I’m just totally out of energy for Star Wars at this point. Disney just absolutely murdered it with their corporate greed. The Acolyte trailer was cool to me but hearing what they’re doing with the new Rey movie just reminded me of how some I am with Star Wars for the most part. The only thing I look forward to is Andor and it’s also the only SW thing that has looked at that universe through a different lens.
Spot on - the only way to salvage Star Wars is to go back in time like James Mangolds film is supposed to... telling the origin story of the formation of the Jedi and how the Sith came about...
I disagree. It would have been better if Disney were greedier. Money was wasted on screenwriters like Michael Arndt (who came up with a script that he had problems with and asked Bob Iger for eighteen months to rewrite it, and because Bob wanted to rush out three episodes by 2019 so the completion of the Skywalker Saga coincided with the launch of Disney+ streaming service and the opening of their _Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge_ theme park extensions, he denied Arndt that extra time and Kathleen Kennedy got J.J.Abrams in, who under pressure of less time came up with something very risk averse), and reshoots of most of _SOLO_ (which was only made to lure Lawrence Kasdan into helping write _Episode VII_ with his son, only to then make Lando canonically pansexual). None of this needed to have been made. None of these writers and writer-directors needed to be involved. Bob Iger had purchased George Lucas' story treatments for his own vision of how the Sequel Trilogy would go, but didn't use it when it was a perfectly serviceable outline that did not sideline Luke, and had Darth Talon as the antagonist. If Disney were motivated by greed they would make more than 3 episodes off an acquisition that cost them $4,050,000,000. The next thing to get right is to hire one screenwriter for the entire Sequel Trilogy and then different people to be the directors. Some of the flaws of Disney's sequel trilogy came from auteur abuse: where the direction has an idea to do a cool thing whilst on set, and because they are also the writer they make it happen, even if the change doesn't end up making coherent sense. Disney creatives were muddling along making up the story of the sequel trilogy episode by episode as they went. Daisy Ridley said that she was told she was a Kenobi, then a Solaana (a nobody) then a Palpatine (then told they weren't sure... presumably because Disney thought that was a big twist and didn't want "Rey Palpatine" leaking only to then invite Ian McDiarmid to their convention). So, it is vital to spend some of the time between Lucasfilm acquisition in 2012 and the release of their first film in 2015 to actually plan out where the story was going so that they knew what they were doing. This is sensible as it is cheapest to make creative changes when you just have some text. Rian Johnson spent $320,000,000 and then had to cut 20 minutes of Canto Bight from his film because it was too long for theatres. That shouldn't ever happen. Remaking 80% of _SOLO_ shouldn't happen either, but that film did not even need to be made as it serves no purpose and Han and Chewie can't be put in real narrative jeopardy in a prequel story as it is known that they survive any peril they may face. It makes more financial sense to be able to market the sequel trilogy as being faithful to the vision of George Lucas, who would be prominently credited as having written the story and the creative consultant.
Corridor crew actually uses science along with their knowledge of computer graphics to prove that video was fake. They don’t always convince me but for this one I think it was pretty clear with what they show
Great show as always i think Star Wars is going to make a billion like always and super fans that know all the inside stuff about it will be upset about it until the next one comes out lol.
I have a good feeling about the Rey movie. Of course, it depends if it even gets made, but I like what I've heard about it so far. I just hope Lucasfilm doesn't try to force it into a trilogy. Not that there shouldn't be sequels if it's good, but they should be made if there's a story to tell. As for Rebel Moon, I still haven't seen either movie yet, but I'm thinking of waiting until the R-rated versions come out. Although, I probably should watch the PG-13 versions so I can compare them. I agree, though, they should've just released the R ones as is. From what I understand, they're about 4 or 5 hours each in their full cuts, so I don't get why Zack Snyder didn't make it an 8-10 episode series. Seems like it would've made more sense, I don't know.
The first episode is VERY derivative of original trilogy _Star Wars._ It also does all the slo-mo stuff Zack Snyder likes to do. It is nowhere close to _Watchmen_ or _Man of Steel_ but then it isn't apocalyptically terrible like _The Rise of Skywalker_ which did narrative collateral damage to seven good _Star Wars_ films by rendering Anakin Skywalker's story arc completely irrelevant because Rey kills Palpatine, not Anakin. So much for the Jedi returning! _Star Wars_ is so comprehensively ruined that this Rey film can't fix anything. At least Daisy Ridley is getting a big paycheck after Disney ruined her career. I expect her to be in theater after this.
Bruh nobody needs to apoligize to Boyega cuz he didn't get the role he wanted. He played a supporting role while Rey and Kylo Ren were the focus of the story.
Hard to sympathise with celebrities, but I've worked at mismanaged companies before.... conflicting verbal agreements, changing promices, hints at a good future, but no clear vision. The rumour is he was expecting to be a Jedi
58:30-59:00 Zack Snyder’s logic with slow motion is probably because he wants everything to look like a painting. For him, every shot is supposed to be religious, every sentence is supposed to be poetic and every person is supposed to look like a Greek god. It’s pathetic that Netflix saw this and still released it. 😒
Funnily enough, there is very little slow motion in part 2 of Rebel Moon. But yeah, part 1 was a lot better than part 2 but I could tell there was lot snipped out of it. I look forward to his longer cut. He should have released the uncut version first because I doubt that those who disliked parts 1 and 2 wil bother watching another version of the same film. Poor Zack.
My fav thing in the Star Wars fandom is when we talk about moving past the Skywalker Saga while wanting more Rey movies which by default is continuing the Skywalker Saga since Rey took the Skywalker name lol
I saw a new movie review: “Daisy Ridley excels as shy office worker in offbeat comedy”, and all I could think was: “yeeap, sounds right; great casting”
I am excited about the New Rey "Star Wars" Movie and I will definitely give it a fair chance and go and see it. What does really bother me though is the fact that there are a heck of a lot of people (especially here on TH-cam) that are being toxic and negative towards Daisy Ridley and this New Movie (and they are doing it just because they didn't like the Sequel Trilogy and the "Rey" character) and have already decided that the Movie is going to be bad regardless of what happens in it. I don't think there is anything wrong with people giving criticism towards things that they don't like but I don't think it's okay to also be toxic and negative as well.
If Disney still thinks a Rey movie is the way forward for Star Wars then it’s no surprise Disney stock is in the toilet. It’s a fools errand to double down on a story and characters that didn’t resonate with audiences. My prediction is this will be the lowest grossing main line Star Wars film. Get woke go broke !
Netflix wanted the more family friendly & 2hr version of RebelMoon first to reach wider audience, because they have data that those type of length and rating get them the most viewers and with that they gave him total control to also shoot his versions of part 1 & 2 with no studio notes no nothing, all hands off for him to do the versions of the story he created and pitched to them. I have read the novelization for part 1 and yes the story beats of the plot are the same as pg13 versions but man it even starts off with a completely different opening that just lets you know that these two versions have the same plot but boy is the tone and feeling of this one is completely new and different than pg13 version.
Please for the love of god, don't do the Rey movie. Just make the Disney sequels unofficial non-Cannon alternate universe Star Wars stories. Lucas has no involvement so they really don't count as part of the story.
Kristian, I’m sure I’m not the only one that will agree you should literally just watch Shogun, and nothing else right now. That’s the only thing that’s worth watching. I get that it’s a heavy show to get into, but people call it the best show of the year for a reason. Will be a huge shame if you don’t get to watch it for months.
20:59 - John Boyega has spoken about how he had conversation with Kathleen Kennedy post the release of The Rise of Skywalker about how he felt dissapointed so I reckon he's already had his apology from Lucasfilm and weren't there also rumours a while back that he had signed on to return but I suppose they were only rumours (for now).
@@ChrisWoodburn83 thats the point... there is no where interesting to go with this character... she reached the pinnacle of her powers without having to earn them... so there is no interesting path to traverse for this character... the mic drop announcement in Rise of Skywalker of her being the child of a Palpatine clone was ridiculous...
I want Luke in the Rey movie so it'll let him be part of the new Jedi order since all we saw of his attempt at it was a failure. I'd like to see Luke see the new Jedi come to fruition.
I watched the first hour of Shogun. I wasn't impressed. I hope it gets better in the second episode . I really like the Bad Batch so far. It is very underrated.
At this stage I don't think I've ever seen Kristian Harloff last longer than ten minutes without mentioning his kids, his wife or Star Wars. It's the type of shit that makes you think of the father you never had. Good on him.
When TFA hit, I was excited about Rey, Finn and Poe, but I was decidedly not a fan of TLJ or TRoS (actually, TLJ was so terrible for me that I refused to watch TRoS and, at this point, it's the one SW property I don't care if I ever watch) and the directions they chose or lack thereof has retroactively made TFA worse b/c I know where it all winds up. So, I'm skeptical of this new film, I hope it succeeds and is a good installment, but I'm not quite as optimistic as Kris.
@@TheKristianHarloff Actually, I rewatched it and they do show you the plug-in files. They have them in-house. But regardless. Looking forward to the next episode!
You know what is easy? Giving up on shows and sticking to movies. Shows take forever. I’m loving re-watching a bunch of movies from my past. Only shows I’m watching now is Sugar and X-men 97. That’s it. Not interested in shogun or fallout. Pass. 😊
The Rey movie is a terrible idea and I’m no Rey hater. I was on board with her character at first but then the next two movies didn’t do her any favours. This movie idea shows a complete lack of ideas. Lucas Film is creatively bankrupt.
I would personally not do a second season of shogun, don't extrapolate source material where you don't need to, Taipan (another book by the same author) is basically a pseudo-sequel so I would go ahead and possibly adapt that (not as good, but it's better than nothing). Also rebel moon 2 is bad, sadly, not much redeeming here but I still think he should do gears of war for netflix as a director-for-hire (do not write or dp it, for the love of all things holy). Also this is the biggest star wars topic this week? Feels like that's gonna get mad repetitive by 2026/2027, but to each their own I 'spose.
So, Luke has train but Rey doesn’t? Stop talking Star Wars if you’ve never read “ Splinter of the Mind’s Eye,” the Han Solo series along with Lando’s book. Should’ve stay with the solo twins. Let’s talk about the Youzeen Vog.
The other day I thought about Bib Fortuna for some reason. I smiled because he is a fun kooky character with clear relatable character flaws. And the, unbidden, I thought about a size inclusive lady hopping around in a smock or a poncho yelling about the difference between having power and wielding it. I stopped smiling.
Kristian im kinda getting tired of not having a classic Steph mike and Kristian episode, or a coy, winston and Kristian episode. If I dont hear coy and Winston on friday talking about deadpool 3 and xmen, im rioting lol
I don’t think John Boyega will return; in fact I think he’s done with franchise movies. Not only has The Rise of Skywalker really soured his opinion on Star Wars, he also did Pacific Rim: Uprising which was really underwhelming critically and financially. With all the interesting small projects he’s been doing in the last few years, why would he even return to Star Wars?
He will take a huge paycheck to return so he can keep doing the smaller movies afterwards. Makes total sense to me and is what 100 percent of us would do in his position.
The mere fact that this is a stolen story from the EU where Luke rebuilds the Jedi order with new philosophies, and that the director is a radical feminist makes the Rey movie a guaranteed flop.
I don’t think Zach Snyder can make ‘normal’ movies he’s the deconstruction King. He doesn’t get the appeal of the superhero or sci-fi genre and this is his commentary on it which is antithetical to cultural zeitgeist so his movies will always divide opinion.
Someone with a heart and depth to their soul needs to write a story with heart, depth and a plot that makes sense and just let Snyder realise it in glorious grey slo mo, cos Zach's scripts are just too shallow and nonsensical. Really cool scenes tied together by non sensical exposition. He can direct but he's not a good writer.

I can’t wait for Rey’s movie! they should title it “ The final nail in the coffin “ 😂
J.J.Abrams isn't involved so it has some chance of not being apocalyptically terrible.
Corridor crew actually uses science along with their knowledge of computer graphics to prove that video was fake. They don’t always convince me but for this one I think it was pretty clear with what they show
Goggins is underrated at this point and carried Fallout on his shoulders
Great show as always i think Star Wars is going to make a billion like always and super fans that know all the inside stuff about it will be upset about it until the next one comes out lol.
a billion my ass lol
I predict less then $600m worldwide gross for the Rey movie (Mando+Grogu harder to predict). Let's meet back here in 2-infinity years :D
Should make a STARWARS KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPLUBIC film. The game was and story line was awesome
I love all the Star Wars movies, I'm not some casual who only like the first three.
Yay to Kris Carr playing final fantasy 🎊🥰
16 is so freaking good!
It's awesome but 8 is my favorite ❤️
@@____uncompetative I get where you're coming from, but I prefer to remain optimistic.
46:58 lol. That was such an abrupt and random cut to UAP talk.
Yeah, I wonder what Kristian cut.
The last sequel trilogy divided the fan base and as far as films go Lucasfilm is a mess. Solution, make a movie about Rey. Genius.
I wish you would interview mark hamill, and ask him why he looked so devastated after the tlj!
Kristian fully poached Kris Carr and I AM HERE FOR IT!!
Short answer to title: NO
I'm optimistic of the rey movie. What could go wrong?
Sideline rey, poe, and finn for 3 newer and younger actors, maybe lol
I really enjoyed Rebel Moon and part 2 was such a massive let down so much so that it made me retroactively like the first one less.
Poor Zack.
My fav thing in the Star Wars fandom is when we talk about moving past the Skywalker Saga while wanting more Rey movies which by default is continuing the Skywalker Saga since Rey took the Skywalker name lol
except no one wanted a Rey movie except Kathleen Kennedy
A two word response to the question posed.... Hell No!!!
I saw a new movie review: “Daisy Ridley excels as shy office worker in offbeat comedy”, and all I could think was: “yeeap, sounds right; great casting”
I couldnt agree more with just wanting something other then a skywalker story for star wars movie
But Rey is a Skywalker now.
Still loving the flow of you 3 doing this show
I am excited about the New Rey "Star Wars" Movie and I will definitely give it a fair chance and go and see it.
Would be cool to see you interview the cast of the Beetlejuice sequel! Ryder, Ortega, and of course, Keaton!
What about the kid at end of movie that had to clean up pudu and the broom moved to him.
I'm somewhat interested in Daisy Ridley returning but if we get a banger of a trailer that'll absolutely boost my enthusiasm
interested in what exactly? please explain the story arc that the Rey character went on during the Sequel trilogy...
@antonalbo She didn't have a great story arc, which is why I'd only be somewhat interested in her returning in the hopes that she gets her just do
@@ChrisWoodburn83 thats the point... there is no where interesting to go with this character... she reached the pinnacle of her powers without having to earn them... so there is no interesting path to traverse for this character... the mic drop announcement in Rise of Skywalker of her being the child of a Palpatine clone was ridiculous...
Nemesis has a dope design and that silhouette in part 2. 👌
Speaking of spring wardrobes, I’m new to the channel and want to know what that sweet black hat is
Has anyone ever told Mike that he looks a hell of a lot like Michael Kosta from The Daily Show?
It's two types of people in the world.
1. Those who are snyder fans
2. Those with functional brain matter.
has kristian talked about tales of the empire trailer at all? maybe i missed it in another video
Grievous bby!
i really like Bad Batch , bummed it's coming to a end, i love Fallout, never played the game
Its true I did click cause of the beautiful steph + the beautiful Kris car! Plus why didn't you do a system restore?
Tried, but my time machine wasn't backed up
@TheKristianHarloff bloody mac's man, if your were using Adobe premier, it auto recovers your stuff, its a shame tho
I guess Kathleen Kennedy hasn't put the final nail in the Star Wars coffin just yet; Rey will certainly be it.
Even if it is a great movie which I doubt it will be, it's a sequel to trilogy that ruined everything we knew about franchise that came before
I have zero interest in another Rey Palpatine movie..I would rather see a movie with Luke's jedi academy
I must have very bad taste: why don’t I hate The Rise of Skywalker and Rebel Moon as much as everyone else?
"Bad taste" is convenient short-hand, but obviously being different isn't bad
As long as its about her its gonna fail
Just got a couple Tooshy’s for our new home and used the code thank you! Plus told em where I heard it from!
Thank you and SUPER HELPFUL!!!
❤ Steph & Kris!
At this stage I don't think I've ever seen Kristian Harloff last longer than ten minutes without mentioning his kids, his wife or Star Wars. It's the type of shit that makes you think of the father you never had. Good on him.
Haha thanks man. Well the first two are my life. The last one, I have hope will return to glory.
Rebel Moon Part 1 is terrible, and Part 2 is even worse. I think you're giving Zack Snyder way too much credit as a director. Agree to disagree.
Arnold would be a dream to get on the show!
Star Wars is the skywalkers. Didn’t the expanded universe feature the skywalkers???
I would love to see you interview Joseph Gordon Levitt, Kristian and if you do, please bring up Dark Knight Rises and Angels in the outfield
To get the deal done Netflix forced him to release a PG-13 version
Love Bad Batch. This season is the best.
1:02:46 who doesn’t love Theo James
When TFA hit, I was excited about Rey, Finn and Poe, but I was decidedly not a fan of TLJ or TRoS (actually, TLJ was so terrible for me that I refused to watch TRoS and, at this point, it's the one SW property I don't care if I ever watch) and the directions they chose or lack thereof has retroactively made TFA worse b/c I know where it all winds up. So, I'm skeptical of this new film, I hope it succeeds and is a good installment, but I'm not quite as optimistic as Kris.
Hey Kristian I think corridor crew actually did show the files. I actually have the same wormhole plug-in on my computer.
They ont have the actual files no. they just said it could be done.
@@TheKristianHarloff Actually, I rewatched it and they do show you the plug-in files. They have them in-house. But regardless. Looking forward to the next episode!
Would love to see you interview Hayden Christensen
Apologies apologies.
I don't believe the Rey movie will even get made.
Damnit Harloff watch Fallout atleast!
Happy Anzac day people
lest we forget
kris is my favorite guest of yours

Wednesday Episode 😱😱😱😱🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You know what is easy? Giving up on shows and sticking to movies. Shows take forever. I’m loving re-watching a bunch of movies from my past. Only shows I’m watching now is Sugar and X-men 97. That’s it. Not interested in shogun or fallout. Pass. 😊
The Rey movie is a terrible idea and I’m no Rey hater. I was on board with her character at first but then the next two movies didn’t do her any favours. This movie idea shows a complete lack of ideas. Lucas Film is creatively bankrupt.
ah, the ancient Taoist Koan: "If a movie comes out in the theater and there is no one there to watch it, does it make a sound?"
Sorry, Winston out this week!
@@TheKristianHarloff thanks for the heads up at least😭
I don’t think John Boyega will return; in fact I think he’s done with franchise movies. Not only has The Rise of Skywalker really soured his opinion on Star Wars, he also did Pacific Rim: Uprising which was really underwhelming critically and financially.
With all the interesting small projects he’s been doing in the last few years, why would he even return to Star Wars?
He will take a huge paycheck to return so he can keep doing the smaller movies afterwards. Makes total sense to me and is what 100 percent of us would do in his position.
@@R17759 You make a good point.
The mere fact that this is a stolen story from the EU where Luke rebuilds the Jedi order with new philosophies, and that the director is a radical feminist makes the Rey movie a guaranteed flop.
Shogun is Difficult but good
Interview Richard Simmons.
I don’t think Zach Snyder can make ‘normal’ movies he’s the deconstruction King. He doesn’t get the appeal of the superhero or sci-fi genre and this is his commentary on it which is antithetical to cultural zeitgeist so his movies will always divide opinion.
He was contractually obligated by netflix to do the pg 13 version first and then rated R later
