    Just goes to show there's not really much difference between a £120 bass and one that costs £3000. The Best demonstration on TH-cam so far in terms of what is possible on a Harley Benton Jazz Bass

      It's not only about the bass. There are the cables, the amp, the audio interface, the mics, the post effects and the audio encoder. And next your audio system.
      100 or 10000 dollars bass with a bad cable/amp will sound the same.

    I have two Harley Benton basses (the five string Stingray copy and a fretless Jazz Bass) and they sound as good as any bass I've heard. The Jazz Bass especially plays phenomenally and is virtually perfect. The days of thinking you need to spend $2000 to have a "real" instrument are kinda over

      i have a P bass harley benton and some other more expansive basses: musicman stingray 5, gibson eb3 1972, fender jazz CS '64 and got handed a 1972 precision bass for a lot of time. HB is pretty good for the buck but cant be compared to the other basses (isn't something about the pick ups). I spent a lot of money in basses, I'd be happy if the price couldn't affect the quality

    I bought this bass too, but that black one. It really is an awesome sounding bass. And when you consider the price... well that just seals the deal. My other two basses are in the upper-mid range pricewise and honestly the HB sounds way better. As a first impression of Harley Benton this is excellent.

    I just got that exact bass and let me tell you it's fuckin astounding. It's without question, on par with any American Fender or high end bass out there. I really can't say a lot for the pickups only because I don't have an ear for bass pickups like I do guitar but the bass itself is absolutely incredible.

    Like the other comments, I have to admit that tone is amazing! I casually clicked on this vid and had to do a double take when you started playing, I swore that bass was modified or you did post processing

    Awesome playing and the bass sounds killer! Where can I buy that ramp between the pickups? Or is it self
    made?

    What FX chain do you have on this recording? Sounds great btw!

    • @ivanrepasi7179
      @ivanrepasi7179  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nothing. The guitar connected into a TC BH250, the DI out went through a Behringer mixer to the PC. That's all. Thanks for your comment!

    did you modify the instrument? did you change pick up or preamp? did you add some boost like eq or compression to the video? thanks

    • @ivanrepasi7179
      @ivanrepasi7179  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I haven’t modified anything on it, and there was no eq any post processing. Only turned down the tone pot to appr. 25%

    • @henryod65
      @henryod65 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've one of these. No need to modify anything, they are excellent. They fret edges may require filing . That takes about 10 minutes. If you want to spend 6 or 7 hundred euro to save that time feel free. A beautiful bass.
