- In part one of our camping trip we visit Castle Farm Campsite in Fotheringhay Northamptonshire. On the banks of the river Nene this is a semi wild campsite with very few facilities, in fact just 3 portaloos and a tap and that's your lot! Don't let that put you off though as we think we've found a hidden gem in the beautiful rural countryside of Northamptonshire

Already had my first camping holiday, had it in the beginning of May. I go again on the 20th May, I am going to Winchcombe for 3 nights. I have decided to video the my new tent and post it on TH-cam, I am thinking 3 views is about all I will get. LOL
I thought I was too old to start camping again, but absolutely love it, it helps that we love being outside anyway. Hope you enjoy your trips, and hope you get more than 3 views, lol, but you’ve got to start somewhere 😅 … Lee x
I had a monkey and bust the hinges within 10 mins of unpacking it. 🤣🤣
Oh dear! Must admit we've had a few problems with the handles but the newer ones with the granite finish seem to be better

Have you tried doing a chicken pie in it yet? You can make awesome pies in a Ridge Monkey

Hi there. As you've so little space at home how/where do you dry out your tent(s) if you've had to pack them away wet after a trip? I ask because I'm looking into getting one but, like yourselves, I've very little space at home (and in particular no outside space). Thanks. :)

Most of that stuff was on the boat apart from blow up beds, fridge and a few bits and bobs. We have a storage unit in Northampton too.
