One thing to always keep in your mind is that unlocking price always increase by a factor of 1.05 (I did the math at some pt), but revenue is grown in more like a linear fashion, since unlocking a country rarely increase the demand elsewhere dramatically (except China, India, US, karachi, etc.). Ticket price is pretty much flat throughout iirc, so money is harder to earn later in the game. (I think Unlock The Countries has some booasting factor, but for Free Play there isn't.) And to this day, I think you still got no extra time when unlocking nongoal countries, and you have to rely on some luck (the billionaire always buy a life-time ticket during a donation event, which will always give you enough to unlock the next country). Really love how a Brit starts to realize how massive the USA is. The UK is tiny compared to the US and even Euro as a whole is what 1/3 the size or something loke that. Being that I am from California which RCE thats on the west coast of the USA. I found it hilarious hiw San Jose to Boston route. Like LA to NYC sure. San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Boston. Just seems like those are pretty well known cities throughout the world because of music and movies.
Europe is actually both larger and more populated than USA. USA - area: 9,38 million km² population ~ 340 million Europe - area: 10,2 million km² population ~ 740 million But you’re completely right about UK being tiny tho
@RedHotBreadstix guess the way we turn a sphere into a flat map makes the USA look way bigger. Plus I always forget Eastern Europe when I see a map. Not sure why. 58:18 America is so big because the British colonists instilled a expansionist ideal in us that we had to expand coast to coast north to south. The United States is about half a continent big.
The funny thing about the USA.....just about all the state capitols are less than 1000km apart--so they're ideal for high speed rail interconnects. Yet, instead of building literally any HSR, we just build massive airports that fly stupidly short distances to hubs that fly to other hubs/destinations. So when you say 'why are they so far apart'...they really aren't, and it is a trap Americans themselves fall into. Everyone is used to it taking 4-8 hours to get anywhere because they have to drive a car....and airports take forever due to security checks and waiting.
I could never play a game like this because I would always wanna try and connect every single point to every single point and make every possible connection all at once and just end up severely confused and end up giving up
it would be interesting to see if it's possible to make all destinations direct flights (therefore if a passenger wants to get from point A to point B, they always have a direct flight from A to B) and only upgrade the planes and airports without buying any extra planes
Understandable, but knowing the fact that it makes RCE be able to not get into a burnout, maybe does ease the pain you are suffering? 😅 Or you could see it as a change to catch up on old content you may not have seen (in a long time), idk

Click on Airport and upgrade it, after that you can do the route
