You are so right. As humans, we often choose to learn life lessons the hard way.

Hold the LAWYER accountable !? It's your case. Hold yourself accountable.

I find most defense lawyers are pretty useless and you need to “do the work” yourself and hold them accountable. One can’t just sit back and trust the lawyer.

Many attorneys are very useful and worth the investment. Even then, they must be held accountable. After all, we are talking about your freedom! It’s a shame that so many defendants choose to sit on the sidelines and let others do the work.

      @@WhiteCollarAdviceOfficial truth
the problem is by the time you know about their weaknesses, you are already into them for a 10k plus retainer and have to scramble over again to find another lawyer.
But your tips on finding a good lawyer can definitely screen out some of the bad ones.

Our team has heard this hundreds of times. It’s a selling point for lawyers when closing business.

Sounds like fantasy but in a court in Ireland the defence said to judge we need a new Judge. The Judge said why, defence said our client is going to plead guilty to the following including robbing the following address. The Judge are you telling me your client will please guilty to robbing my house and Defence said yes. 1 other case I heard springs to mind a man an high on drugs broke into a ground flour office at the back of a building and was in court. The Judge said I have you ask you 1 thing did you know you were breaking into a police station.
