- By request I re-uploaded this mix I made awhile ago for the 40th anniversary of the electrical parade on June 17, 2012. In this I incorporated all the parade units that I have in my collection give or take some that are missing that are hard to come by, but an added bonus of Pete's Dragon that was only used in the 1978 Orange Bowl half time show.

Long live Disney Land Main Street Electrical Parade. No other parade can beat it.
Paint The Night couldn't hold a candle to Main Street Electrical even if it tried.

As much as I loved Paint the Night, I will admit that the Main Street Electrical Parade still holds a dear place in my heart.

This reminds me of the MSEP mix they had on the Fantasmic! CD in 1991. Not exactly the same, but had most of the themes. What I like about this version is that “Baroque Hoedown” lasts a little longer at the beginning and that when the other themes come in, you can still hear it playing (the Fantasmic! version drops Baroque Hoedown quite a bit so you can hear the other themes). This version also mimics the parade more in that Baroque Hoedown loops quite a few times until well after the last float clears the zone where the music is playing.

Good heavens, I haven’t seen The Main Street Electrical Parade since I was a kid. Disneyland celebrated its 40th Anniversary at that time in my life. 🎇🎆
Oh my god, I'm in love with the added Pete's Dragon section.
This is great, thanks for putting it together and the Pete's Dragon stuff is gold! Since there seem to be experts here, anyone remember a unit for Mickey's 60th birthday in 1988? It came right before the America finale, it was a single float with Mickey on it, kind of like the "disco" Mickey theme here, played the happy birthday song and had a strong "techno" dance beat that worked really nicely with the "America" themes (I worked the parade all that summer so I heard it every night...recorded it but the recording got destroyed, oh well). And still looking for the elusive Fox and the Hound obviously, ha ha. Cheers, this was really fun.

Oh, I have to admit I never heard that Pete's Dragon version from the Orange Bowl. I'm half-tempted to include it in the next version of the Main Street Electrical Parade Project, but I determined that only units that were in a Disneyland Park parade qualify. Bugger, as I also liked the Hercules float in New York.
if you get to it, please add those 2 just as a special! I think i've seen the one at the bowl, but i've never seen the one for New York.
next time you make a MSEP soundtrack with the Small World section included here's a tip I discovered, either use the Small World track from the '72 soundtrack or the TDLEP soundtrack there are bells in the 3rd variation that are distorted for some reason in this soundtrack *the first 2 bells in the 3rd variation are missing)

a lot of this stuff has been featured on previously released soundtracks. the only one that hasn't is the extended Pete's Dragon music which was heard during the 1978 Orange Bowl halftime show.
in case you haven't heard, they recycled the last 4 words of the opening announcement for the closing one in the new soundtrack
I might be the only one who both like the old and the updated music. Haha.

I like both as well, perhaps one of you can help, can either of you point out where that 1 bar of 3-beat tempo comes into play that choreographers didn't like in this soundtrack?
@@disneydanny2 at around 1:21 you'll hear the infamous 3rd beat, I'll give you a clue the first oscillator sweep is the third beat...

Any chance that for the 50th anniversary mix you could add the Hercules, Swan Lake, and the 2nd variant of the Beautiful Briny Deep/Bedknobs and Broomsticks units?
The tokyo disneyland christmas music is used from 1985 to 1994 or is it 1995, the eurodisneyland paris christmas music was used from 1992 to 2002 and the 1999 magic kingdom christmas music was used from 1999-2000 but not used in 2001 because the second run of the electrical parade at disneyworld ended on april 1 2001

Sounds like a Mix of the Disneyland Original version and the Disneyland Paris version
that's because all of the floats in the Paris version were seen first in the U.S (except for the Swans.

Can you do a 48th anniversary mix with the swan lake float music, the bedknobs and broomsticks briny deep second variant, mickey's 60th birthday float music the original alice in wonderland float music, the chinese dragon and the maleficent dragon float music, the christmas music from tokyo, paris, and the 1999 magic kingdom version and finally the hercules nyc float music from 1997
