Great review. I haven't seen the movie, but that's probably everything I would have taken away from it myself. Not sure I could have conveyed it so succinctly, though. 👍 Just going by the trailer that you reacted to, it already seemed a bit disjointed and it didn't even feature any of the exposition from the Russian figure. I got "Hallmark" vibes from the flashback scenes as well. It's a shame it wasn't handled better because you usually only get 1 shot at a biopic and I feel like Reagan was the last president deserving of one just based on his visibility, and everything that happened during his tenure. (I'm not counting Josh Brolin's "W" 😀). Even just his presidency could warrant a 2-parter on cable or streaming, if they were going to do it seriously. A 4-parter if they included his youth, acting career and governorship.
