In 2003 I was 8 years old I remember going over to a family friends house and their son who was older than me had this game. I’ll honestly never forget how cool and fun I thought it was. The open world factor of it just astonished me. I had never seen anything like it. Then I got older, started playing San Andreas. Played GTA 4 going into high school. Now 18 years later me and my wife just beat GTA V for the second time lol. I swear I will play this game with my children and grandchildren. This game will always be a part of my life.

I'm not a huge fan of GTA, but I played GTA II as akid. It was the first I played. Then Vice City and III, then SA. Vice City had the best feel to it. Haven't played the newer instalments.

When this game came out, I got picked on and bullied in school, had a rough home life from parents dealing with a nasty divorce, and generally didn't have any friends. But the moment I'd get home from school, booted up that PS2 and heard this start to play, everything was better. Not ok, but just better and momentarily forgotten about. This game got me through some dark times and fueled my love for 80's pop culture.

Drive on in the Vegas strip Friday night with this bumping on the radio,
When this game came out, I got picked on and bullied in school, had a rough home life from parents dealing with a nasty divorce, and generally didn't have any friends. But the moment I'd get home from school, booted up that PS2 and heard this start to play, everything was better. Not ok, but just better and momentarily forgotten about. This game got me through some dark times and fueled my love for 80's pop culture.
Sounds just like me at that time. Starting HS, dealing with stupid kids. But couldn't wait to get home to play some GTA.
