I think the silence and simplicity makes it even heavier! And there is that little string scrape that echoes just before the main riff. Sounds awesome!

I tried the 8 string version of this and the frets were razor sharp, and the fishman pickups were not wired properly.
on a 1k+ instrument you shouldn't have to bleed to play it haha.
Oh man I couldn't agree more... I had a similar situation with the sharp frets unfortunately (On a different guitar in the past. This 9 string guitar is flawless).
But I must say their customer service was good and they took care of me.
@@SinysterSoundsOfficial yeah they refunded me no issues. Service is great for sure. Was just bummed because it would have been sick if the guitar was functional haha.

Tuning is standard 9 string - C#, F#, B, E, A, D, G, B, E. As for tabs, I'm not really familiar with the software to make that but could try in the future. And the tone is no big secret, it is a patch on Neural DSP's Archetype Abasi. Honestly I may have downloaded the tone somewhere else, I really don't remember... But perhaps could make a Google drive link or go over the settings in a video if you'd like

Dude, it is not in my intention to be rude but forget the tabs and if you like something learn it by ears. I understand that right now it seams impossible but by trying you will learn it and in couple years you will understand why it's one of the best advices you ever had.

When was this agile for sale? I never saw it on rondo's store
I ordered it about a month ago, it came on sale right around then... I had been checking the website frequently for weeks looking to see if any 9 strings were listed. Some of the cheaper models were finally listed and I was trying to decide on purchasing one when this listing showed up (alongside one other that was obtained by my good friend Cole Trent, who's also on youtube!)
Funny enough he snagged the other (I didn't know it was him at the time!) so I quickly pulled the trigger on this one before I missed my chance.

Oh same, playing standard 9 string tuning was a whole new experience for me, being used to drop tunings. I did recently drop that low string to B and it is also very fun haha.

Oh yeah I would highly recommend. But, my recommendation is to get a 30" multiscale with Fishmans

Thanks for the awesome comment, and I guess it is really low, heavy Djent if I had to label it I guess? You might search up some Thall, but I wouldn't say my riffs are very thall typically... Always been a mixture of metal and djent, but now I'm getting in to 9 string territory lol. More to come!

Do you recommend 9 string over 8?
So the 9 string has been extremely fun... A quick answer would be, get both if you can. If you haven't tried either, I would definitely recommend doing 8 before 9.
Writing with the 9 strings has been extremely fun but it has been more challenging than others like 8 string. The challenge is how low that low strings is. Since the guitar is typically a fairly melodic and mid-range instrument I have found it hard to find a good balance and incorporate that low C# while making it sound good.
I think this is why a lot of 9 string stuff (and even some 8 string stuff) is more rhythmic and percussive. Which is tight... But I am trying to find that blend of melodic and technical while getting this low.
That's the long answer lol hopefully it all makes sense
@@SinysterSoundsOfficial agree about the percussive stuff..MOSDEFinitely can't play power chords on the lowest 2 strings. I actually use a BASS amp that is renowned for being also a good GUITAR amp. The Fender Rumble 500 handles my 9 string parts that are EQ'd for the bassline and the 9 string parts that are EQ'd like a guitar. I try to write my basslines and rhythm guitar like one single part EQ'd for guitar first, and then if I still need a bassline, I record it with either the 9 or my bass guitar. Bass is my first love but 9 strings give me a way to not only do away with a rhythm guitar player, but actually go harder than one:)
Whats ur signal chain?
Both L and R guitars on Archetype Abasi, EQ'd to remove some high end fuzz and to notch out some 4K frequencies. Both of those guitars go into a separate mixer channel that has a multi-band compressor on it, mid and high bipassed but clamping down on the low end to get rid of some of that heavy bass sound from the guitar tone.
