The engineers, heavy equipment operators, public safety workers, scientists and all others involved in saving valuable infrastructure, should be publicly acknowledged for their incredible work during these 11 eruptive events. People, such as yourself, Gylfi, deserve acknowledgement for your incredible chronicling of these amazing natural occurrences.
Its morning for me and my first video of the day is the beautiful Iceland view from your drone. I love the captions that you add in. Thank you Gylfi, hope you have a good rest tonight (Iceland time). Sending you greetings and best wishes from NZ.
This kind of photography, together with the slow pan and tagging of landmarks really helps put this into perspective! Thank you, definitely worth the effort you put in to this.
Unbelievable😮 8m of lava. In summer I've been driving on this burried road to the parking of the blue lagoon because I wanted to see the berms "live" and now there is all this lava. Looking forward to June 2025 when I spent my 4th holidays in beautiful Iceland and hope I can visit Grindavík and its restaurants and have a look at this unimaginable amount if lava
A wonderfull video, high quality and a lot of info. The amount of strengh the icelandic people show matches the amount of lava. Thank you, Gylfi for the high quality of your work. No sensational grab for viewers but pure high quality.
It seems a rather happy ending this time, certainly also thanks to the workers with their heavy machines. Every time the repairs seem to be finished faster, i hope the road will not be too hot😁. Thank you for the update.
Tenéis un país salvaje y precioso. Los trabajadores luchan como gladiadores. Tu trabajo también es admirable, arte frente a la naturaleza salvaje y brutal. Muy bien. ❤
That’s the best overview flight I’ve seen of the current eruption and boy does it give you the perspective that explains the narrow escape the Blue Lagoon and Power Plant have had thanks to the relentless work of the berm teams. Man versus Nature is a tight contest but Man is holding his own so far. Wonderful footage, Gylfi, beautifully captured in perfect conditions. 👏👏👏
Thank God that the earth is resting a little, as hopefully the tireless workers who secured the Blue Lagoon and the power plant with their wall. Stay healthy Gylfi and thanks a lot for this video.
Amazing shots of the blue lagoon and surrounding area your drone has done you proud ❤ always a pleasure to watch your channel Gylfi best regards from the uk 🇬🇧 to Iceland 🇮🇸
Great set of panoramic views from several different locations to show the whole story of the November eruption! It is perfectly edited with the view locations from east to west and excellent annotation. I am glad you found a day with calm and sun to acquire this footage. I can imagine that you spent even more time editing than driving around the area to get this professional video.
This is absolutely wonderful. Beautiful to see and enough information to help understanding. I wish I had been able to access videos like this when I was teaching geography; so much better than textbook pictures, or my woeful attempts on the board. Thank you Gylfi.
They need to bring in the Caterpillar 6090 FS, that would make burm making very easy though, it may break earth under it it's so big! Stay safe my friend and keep the videos coming, they are great. 😊
Opportunity in Iceland ... Growing Moss for re plantation over the Lava flow areas ... Moss eats the rock and makes dirt to grow a second crop heading for total land recovery ... think ahead look for local moss that helped recover from flows before ... and pass it on
Wow that pylon was fixed quickly. I never ceased to be amazed at Icelander's resilience and no nonsense attitude.
In Germany we would need 2 years alone for getting the papers ready to be allowed to fix something.

Labeling the terrain features really helps in orienting the viewer’s perspective. The videography and music selection is outstanding.
Thanks a ton :)
What a beautiful way to explain the geography of the Reykjanes peninsula and what's been happening there.
You sure can tell a good story with no words at all. Thank you.
My pleasure!
No spoken words, but very informative text annotations!

Nice. The presentation is well crafted, and very thought provoking

Amazing footage… Icelanders are the toughest bounce back people I’ve ever witnessed… big love to Iceland 🇮🇸

Quite possibly the most beautiful educational format ever. You are so talented Gylfi. Thanks so much for sharing it with us!
Thanks so much 😊 Much appreciated 😊

Beautiful. The work done on the berms to divert the lava is impressive. Perhaps it should be The Great Wall of Grindavik? Keeping out the lava hordes?
THANK YOU THAT WAS AWESOME 👍🙏>>>💚
No problem 😊
Amazing drone footage as usual. This shows the scope of how far the lava traveled.
Thank you very much!
Stark beauty. Well done Gylfi.
Many thanks :)
Loving the music as well as the great photography!
Thanks so much!
Marvelous to see and so informative! Thanks so much!
So good, thank you G.

Hi Jan, What a beautiful self-telling video!
Thank you so much!
Thanks for this overview that puts many of your recent info in a wider context!
Thank you for all your wonderful video's you shared recently 🌋

Spectacular! Your skills as a videographer keep on getting better and better!

Gorilla warfare against that lava flow 👍
Exactly👍

Ahhh, just beautiful! Perspective included. Nice music. Thank you.

Wonderfull overview over the scenes of this big "vulcanic theater".
Lovely filming, Gylfi :).
Many thanks :)
Love your country! Beautiful light!
This is absolutely wonderful. Beautiful to see and enough information to help understanding. I wish I had been able to access videos like this when I was teaching geography; so much better than textbook pictures, or my woeful attempts on the board. Thank you Gylfi.
Great overview of the course of the eruptions, Gylfi.
They seem to be moving steadily northwards.
Thank you.
Always welcome :)
Stunning! Thank you for the beautiful videos! ❤
My pleasure!
What a great video. Thanks Gylfi. ❤
Thanks so much!
Great video as always. The mountain you label as Stóra-Skógfell is Sýlingarfell. Stóra-Skógfell is the mountain closest to the eruption.
Already snow and frost on the new lava. The ice cold winter and biting wind help it to cool down fast!
Great video as usual.
I appreciate that
Wow 8 meters in the car park , built up quickly
Beautiful video, beautiful music, The best.
Many thanks!
Sad you didn't manage to catch yesterday's and today's "paroxysms" when eruption intensity was increasing drastically
Your images are always the best my friend. Jimi and Lyz Norman Oklahoma.
Informative and artfully done!
Glad you liked it!
The music fit the video perfectly. What is it and who performed it?
The song is here: elements.envato.com/documentary-background-DKH34QF
They need to bring in the Caterpillar 6090 FS, that would make burm making very easy though, it may break earth under it it's so big!
Stay safe my friend and keep the videos coming, they are great. 😊
Lovely
Many thanks :)
Great work as always! Thank you for keeping us informed
No problem 👍
Nice. Very very nice!
Thank you very much!
VÁÁÁÁÁÁÁÁÁÁÁ, Takk fyrir þetta Gylfi. Flott að sjá þetta 🙌🙌🙌🙂
Nice. Thank you. :-)
Is that lava flow still going?? And again…whose music is thus? I love it.
He picks his music from the Envato website :)

What's the altitude of the camera platform taking this great video?
Car park under 8m of lava, sheesh, they're going to need a bigger berm.
You can't stop mother nature, A for effort, hope its over now.
.❤.
❤
How much smaller did the Blue Lagoon temporarily get due to water used on berm creation? Pretty day there!
What happened to snowy season? Too warm in Iceland??
Is there actually some hate-love relationship Icelanders have towards the Blue Lagoon?
I have to ask...what music did you use?
about how far is it from the eruption site to the airport?
