Great interpretation and nuanced performance. There's a loopy hiphop feel to the drums when you start to freestyle on your solos, but always back to the melody. Great stuff
Went back and listened to Jeff Beck. Then Joni Mitchell. Then Mingus himself. Monster tune that sounds different by every play. Want to go back and work on it. A hole in my knowledge for sure. Thank you Tim for making me aware of what I was missing. ❤️
Thanks so much Tim, I'll have to add your arrangement to the many others I have of GPH. You're getting some really fine tone from the Bram Archtop. This is the first time I've seen one.
That Bram guitar sounds great! (whereupon Tim sets it down and says "howzit sound now?) LOL. Really lovely playing, as usual! And a very nice arrangement! Thanks for being an endless inspiration!
Soulful
Cool version!
Wisdom and taste!
In another time I would have bought all your LPs... You don't play, you sing through the guitar. Great!
never tire of the many versions of this one. thanks.
I still hear Jeff Beck…never to diminish your interpretation Tim, ever…what a fabulous melody and I must get it under my fingers. Thanks again.
Was hoping you had done this one. Superb. Thanks
Sometimes I forget…and something becomes new to me all over again. Getting old ain’t that bad when that happens…best, Shal
Brilliant as ever Tim …love it …
That guitar sounds so, so good. I love the way the notes "unfold" -- this is what an archtop is all about. I hope you can keep it.
Nah bra, it is Tim's fingers and that is all, he would be sounding great with broom plugged in toaster
I've been saving this one for a morning where I could really sit and enjoy it. Thanks, Tim.
sounding sweet.
love that binding on the headstock.
Who needs bass/keyboards players anyway? Just gorgeous playing mate.👍
Do you not hear the bass player?
@@mooseymoose is there a bass?? Listening on my phone 😂
@@jazzman1954 Yes indeed😁
@@mooseymoose 😵💫Well, you can’t be cool all the time 😕

Had a Porkie Pig hat on…
1:16 to 1:23. Beautiful phrase.
I like seeing you play with a plectrum.

When people come up and say, 'Man, that guitar sounds great!' my standard reply is, 'Really? I don't hear anything.'
Gorgeous guitar .. best of many worlds .. but looks well balanced. Oh and the tune is pretty good too …
Beautiful guitar!
Thanks a lot!
Beautiful...playing and guitar. Is the guitar well-balanced, i.e., not neck heavy?
It is a bit headstock heavy, but not much.
Great! What is the backing drums and bass?
It’s a track I made on GarageBand
fuckin eh man, full of sauce
Well performed, I personally find it difficult
Tim, which backing track you are using ?
I made it on GarageBand nothing very fancy
@@TimLerchGuitar wish I could find that loop on garage band ..it drives me mad !!!
