I've got the same model trimmer. It runs well but doesn't hit it's full stride till it's been running for 10 minutes or so. Valve clearance has been done. Carb adjusted. Thoughts?
You don't have to take off the fuel tank to remove the pick up line use a small pick to reach in and pull out. I have multiple 4mix machines and the only thing you have to make sure that there's no vacuum leaks, if no vacuum leaks then a good carb clean and rebuild, valve adjustment, the usual plugs and filters and its good to go. Everyone who says 4mix engines are rubbish are the lazy buggers who never look after their equipment and incompetent to even diagnose them anyways

I did valve adj, has spark, I'm guessing carb diaphragm is bad or valve/cam system worn

Stihl 4 Mix have rev limited coil that will not allow the motor to reach wide open throttle.

You should always rotate the head whilst applying grease!
