I know Mr. Munson... he, and my father were friends. We lived in an alley right off of 83rd & Hooper Ave (1969-1972). I was sitting on my dads shoulders as the entire neighborhood watched the Sheriff Department arrest and escort Mr. Munson from his mom’s house... I remember it like yesterday!
Listening to him is probably what it feels like to have a father. For anybody that has a dad that was around and he watched you grow up and raised you. Be grateful family. That's a true blessing. A man that didn't have a father raise him will always have questions. Even in ya 40s. It's nothing like older knowledge coming directly from the horses mouth. Because ain't no cut on it. U gonna get the straight raw truth. And once they die that's gone forever. So it's important to get knowledge from elders. And it's nothing like the elder you come from. When a kid has a father you have a literal person to model yourself after. If not you will use something else. Rap, the streets, another man ya mom may be dating. But it's gonna come from somewhere. To me I respect the Titans like Munson, Raymond, Danny Boy, Bird, Barefoot Pookie etc because initially they were all about throwing it from the shoulder. Lifting weights/working out was much more than just having a physique but was also to aide you in physical combat.
