I will always remember the phrase taught to us in Catholic grade school. "INTESTINAL FORTITUDE".We don't have the stomach for the gospel because we lack this phrase in ourselves. I am suffering in my heart over the state of this country and the deafening silence of most of the clergy even to the point of being told that my concern means I don't have faith or that the issue of abortion should not trouble us because it is an ideology_(EWTN David Enders)-Called to Communion. Even EWTN has left us abandoned. Where is the leadership!! Satan knows that you clergy have the authority not us. We can pray novenas and sacrifice but Satan laughs at us because the clergy is complicit by their silence-not you of course. I feel betrayed by the Church heirachy.
You are correct and Fr. Mike addresses that sin. The refusal to seek mercy is exactly what he discusses here. In the CCC paragraph 1864 we see that "... but anyone who deliberately refuses to accept his mercy by repenting, rejects the forgiveness of his sins and the salvation offered by the Holy Spirit. Such hardness of heart can lead to final impenitence and eternal loss.” so here we see that Blasphemy is not simply what many to believe what we say, but what we believe in our hearts. Therefore as Fr. Mike and the CCC teaches us, we must be open to God's grace and His mercy. I hope that helps.

That’s what the Pharisees were guilty of doing in that passage.
