I have been a working professional in the arts all my adult life, 44 years. Seeing this phenomenal ballet performed in Southern California some years back remains one of the greatest, most perfect theatrical experiences of my entire life!!! Neumeier's production transcends dance becoming a complete artistic experience. From its opening moments until the last, everything about this production was staggering in its achievement! How lucky we are that such art and artists exists in our world.
This ballet is amazing and absolutely incredible! The most emotional ballet I have ever seen! I saw it 3 years ago in Toronto and the day before yesterday in Ottawa. I was going to go again last night, but couldn't get a ticket. I know that I will always try to see it whenever it is performed near me. It's unbelievable. Bravo Neumeier!
Nijinsky was not mad. The world was mad.
a lot of Ballet companies seem to use Shostakovich's symphony number 11, powerful piece for sure.
the male body dancing is godlike
choreographers should get oscars not directors...
"Jooohn Noyymayer"

Does any knows if there is a sound track available for the ballet? thx.
I believe they are using Shostakovitch symphony no. 11. parts fo it anyway.
