What a lovely way to close a journal... I like that its included on the cover and not something just clipped on. Going back into my '70s macrame period, that is a Lark's Head knot... a pretty name for something basically utilitarian. And as a former bridal seamstress, I love the sound of your machine. TY

I love your journals Wendy thanks for sharing how you construct them. On this one I especially like the closure. I’m going to make one for sure now. I would love to share a tip that I use to keep the eyelet from coming out of the hole when putting one into fabric. I punch the hole in the fabric with the smaller hole on the crop-a-dial and then put the 3/16” eyelet into the smaller hole. The fabric will give enough to put it in. Then I crimp it. And bobs your uncle, lol. Have a great day!

No way was I bored. Not at all. This is genius! I’ve never seen this before. I even love the way you tied your charm. I had never seen that either. Mine kind of stick out funny. I just stumbled onto this series tonight. What a fabulous video! I first watched the one released for today, June 25, 22. But this journal looked so good I had to come see more from the beginning. I love that cover! That fabric looks amazing! And I love how you fix issues. LOL.
I made one of your other cloth covers, however I have to say I prefer this method. Thanks for sharing your method.

I just love this idea for a journal. I have some canvas and some ticking cloth that would be perfect to use as well as some fake leather. Good to go!! Looking forward to following along! Thank you for sharing.

I like the fabric tape behind the eyelet too. This is absolutely perfect for something i have in mind, you did it just at the right time. Thank you so much. This was a great tutorial! I could see everything you did and it was not boring at all! Super! 👌 I like when tutorials are in "real time", so I know approx. how long it will take! (Probably much longer when I do it though! 😅)

This was an ingenious cover idea! I know im watching a year later but i had mad some fabric pages ago with Artymaze and couldn't decide on my finish. Tyfs 👍🩷🇨🇦💐

32:44 I think reinforcing the fabric with that fabric "sticky tape" was actually a better idea in the long term; I'd probably try to do that myself in future as the underlying fabric has a tendency to fray with usage. Thank you very much for showing the whole process for this great cover too.

Great information Wendy, thanks so much for sharing this. I've got a large canvas drop cloth I've been wanting to use for journal covers with maybe some additions to them later on. I have no desire to make journals for selling, I just want to be able to make them for myself since I know I'll never be able to buy a journal from you or any others that make journals on TH-cam. So again, thank you ever so much for doing this. I appreciate it more than you know. Hope you enjoy your time at the cottage. Sure wish I had a cottage or anything similar that I could go to and be able to create without distractions. Okay, one more time - THANK YOU. Take care and God bless you and yours.
